Arranged a 65th birthday/retirement lunch with around 30 family members of all ages. Had a great time, Sandip and his team were attentative (despite a Man City/Arsenal match!) and went out of their way to ensure our needs were catered. Food was great as always and the authentic home cooked taste never fails to hit the mark.

If you want good Indian food, a family friendly venue at sensible prices venture down to Spice Rack Lounge. North London is the new Brick Lane and Spice Rack does not disappoint. Thoroughly recommended.

I had my company christmas party here, and only one word can summarise both the service and the food.. Excellent!!!! , the environment is comfy and all the staff play a major role in making sure all customers feel like they are at home. I would highly recommend spice rack!....simply outstanding!!

The place looks fabulous, you expect something expensive and impecable service... well don't judge a book by its cover.

1) I ask for a table for one with my computer in my hands. The waiter looks at his manager, the managers points a table (you know the table that no one want to be seated? this one), the waiter points the table.

2) I ask "is there any plug for my laptop?". Waiter says something to his manager in their language, managers asks me "what happened?" I say that I need to be seated near a plug. He asks "No but we're busy" I look around there are like 5 people in a big big restaurant. "How many are you?" he asks. I say "Only me". He replies "No but no drinks no food?" I'm like... "Of course I'm going to order but right now I just need a table with a plug near by!"

3) I order "chicken samosa" for 2.95. I get 2, I said TWO poor samosas with lemon slices. Yes, LEMONS. WITH CHICKEN SAMOSAS.

Long story short... Expensive for nothing, the service is not good, I'll never go there again.

Saturday night with my girls.

Spice Rack Lounge what a place, the best place to eat Indian food with a twist in North London will be going back there. Food was very good abit spicy but very tasty. Service was good the waiter we were served by didn’t understand English to well but one of the owners a big guy helped with ordering food when ordering Indian food we get confused but his input helped as allot and there for had the right dishes. We even got a starter dish on the house as it was our first time there. I asked to speak to the chef but he was very busy to shake his hand to say thank you.

Went with family and friends for Diwali lunch on Sunday, expecting a typical Indian. However, pleasantly surprised with modern decor and confortable seating. All commented how well the food and service was. Credit to Mo and his team for excellent service. Will be going back soon.

I would not go there again!

If you dont reserve a table then you will have to wait over a hour just for a table for 2.

Too noisy! Not value for money! Staff can not speak proper English! Too loud! Too cramped/sharing with randoms

Food was ok but very expensive!

Toilet was very dirty and smelly!

We hated it! never again!!!!!!!!!!

service is excellent - especially the two very welcoming staff Santeep (Sanoh) and Moh (Mohamed) - they are very hospitable. The place is very lively. And having staff like Santeep and Moh they are perfect example of dedicated staff who care about their customers.

Went to spice rack lounge to celebrate my husbands birthday. we went as a family - my mum, brother, sis in law and husband. being from newcastle upon tyne, it was our first visit.

i too could not book a table over the phone, but when we got there, we got a drink at the bar and staff were on the look out for a free table situated by the dance floor as thats what we preferred.

the service was brilliant, we did not have to wait for food or drinks to come to us, the food was DELICIOUS and the music was brilliant- a mix of english and bollywood to suit everyone! we ate drank and danced as a family in a geat setting.

overall the night was amazing, the prices were reasonable, great music and atmosphere, definately will go again!

Very bad service..Called to book a table, only to be told that they only take bookings for 6+ people. For anyone else, its first come first serve basis.

So we arrived around 6pm on Saturday, only to see tables for less then 6 people had the reserved signs on! Asked the waiter why we have to wait for a table when the rest of the tables were all empty, but was told they are reserved.

Kicked up a fuss as to why I couldnt book a table for 3 people, when tables for '2' were reserved. The waiter couldnt answer me!!

Terrible service, managed to get a table eventually however were told that we only have it for 1 hour. Now im a fast eater, but if they take majority of the time cooking the food, then bring it out and tell you that you only have 10 minutes, is quite disguisting.

Good food, but terrible service

Went to Spice Rack last night. What an amazing night once again. booking of 28 people from all northants and southampton from 6 to 60yrs old. The service was superb and quick. The food was fantastic as usual. Infact we had to keep ordering more as the food ran out!!The problem you have when large groups go, is that some people enjoy the food and some always critise, however, all of the people are already planning to go back. Thanks to all the staff for the quality service and will defo be making another visit in the very near future.
