Apart from the novelty of the seating arrangements this place really has nothing going for it. The food was average (although ok for the price), but the service was surly, rushed and generally poor. When we dared to mention this to the manager at the end of the night (even after paying the included service charge) we were treated with further contempt. Not a place to go if you want a pleasant dining experience where you feel valued as a customer

I am looking forward to going back to this haunt. The food is superb, the restaurant itself is very unique and the value for money is great. Excellent.

Back for a second time, my 30th Birthday, and again pleasantly surprised with the food and service. Although this time there was very little break between the starter and the main course, all of the meal was a great success. I have eaten in many restaurants ranging from the average to the extravagant, however the Jam seems to offer a unique experience that gives you a real sense of privacy and very good food. I can't remember the name of the dish, it was a sea food dish with clams, king prawns, salmon & tuna steak, mussels and calamari - I would thoroughly recommend this to any sea food fanatic...

I would also like to thank the staff for the very embarrassing, yet adorable happy birthday song and cake they threw in.... (very nice!)

Thank you.

I like the layout of this restaurant: amazing how many tables they succeeded to fit into such a small space.

We went for lunch and it was fairly quiet.

We still had to wait quite some time for our food.

But when it arrived it was very nice. Great risotto.

Only when we left, I noticed that a service tip had been automatically added to the bill.

Will go back for the atmosphere.

I found the restaurant about 6 years ago and have been back every year since on trips to london and will continue to do so. It is undeniably a restaurant with character and i would recommend anyone to go.

My partner and i were invited by some friends who had been before and loved it. We had the best time. The layout was great, the service was friendly and the food was amazing. Some of the best food ive had in ages. When we got the bill we expected it to be alot but were pleasently suprised as it was alot less than we thought. Would definately recommend to others and will be going again myself.

Ok, this is a bit of a strange one. My partner and I sat upstairs on the wee funky upstair table, which is a bit different, and pretty cool..

We ordered the ribs for starter, they were sooooo bad, they had been microwaved as some of them were piping hot and others were stone cold, the sauce was majorly yuk.

But...the steaks were fab. I was pleasanly surprised to find such a tasty steak after such a hideous starter.

Sort out the ribs!

I love sitting upstairs here - great with a girlfriend or with 3 other mates where you can hole up for a good long session. Food is good-ish. Its 'pretty good average' - nothing too exciting or likely to drive you wild. 2 people, 2 courses and 2 bottles of wine - £72. So its not expensive, but then again it shouldnt be given the food. Will definitely go back.

I took my girlfriend there for our anniversary on a recommendation. Possibly the best recommendation to date. The food was fantastic - def recommend the battered courgette and calamari dish for starter. To sit on one of the top tables makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable. Neither my girlfriend or I smoke and found the atmosphere to be fine even though their were ciggies alite. A great experience in London and for a change real value for money.

Probably one of the few places left on King's Road which will not hurt your wallet too much. OK Italian food, enough to get your shopping for the rest of the afternoon. Fun for kid and youngsters alike. More serious customers will find the stacked tables odd. We had a plate of pasta on Saturday noon. We were the first customers to arrive and the waitress went on, as we ordered and ate, with a cleaning the tables. Being surrounded by fumes of bleach, though, was a rather unpleasant experience.
