Having read excellent reviews about this restaurant, thought we would give it a try.......wrong move......booked a table for 6 which was very cramped - felt a bit like sitting at a Paste table. Waiter was continually hovering around, only to whip the plates away as soon as we had finished our meal. Requested a Dessert menu, only to be told that they didn't serve Desserts on a saturday night and were promptly served with a bowl of fruit (which incidentally was just about enough for 4 people) "to go with our drinks". Food was ok - had better to be honest.........Then presented with the bill.....£300 for 6 people! Food could not have come to more than £25 a head, leaving £150 for drinks.........ok, we had a few but certainly not £150 worth. Bit like eating at a cafe but paying west end prices!

Update 24.10.2011 - Having emailed the owner on two separate occasions, airing my complaint, I have not even had the courtesy of a reply from him!!

In a word, superb. Will definitely go again. Had the mezze and thoroughly recommend it.

me and my partner went to this restrant. we had a great evening. we arrived at 8, there was a band playing lovely greek music at 10.the staff were very helpfull.always topping up my glass.the food was outstanding. i had kleftico. it was the softest lamb ever,i have eaten lamb in so many greek restrants,but this was delightful. i was told it had been cooked for 5 hours. my partner had the apollo steak. he really enjoyed his. the portions were really good . the desserts were really fresh.we had prawns for starters.they were very tasty. we left feeling stuffed and very satisfed. the wine selecton was good.the place was very clean. the staff were very welcoming. there was a great atmosphere. we had a lovely waiter called jimmy, he was very good at looking after us. the other customers were people who had been coming there to eat there for years.there was many greek and english people who obviously were enjoying the mezas.the mezas were very popular.overall this was a great experience. cant wait to go back there and try the t bone and every thing else on the menu. well done appollo for all your hard work and commmitment to your customers. thankyou guys

Nice food the service was good the atmosphere welcoming and safe and it was the bestest ever restaurant I've ever been to.

Went to Apollo restaurant 12 of us to celebrate my 23rd birthday. It was a Saturday night and the place was full to capacity which added to the atmosphere. The place is warm and tidy with nice decor. If you are looking for outstanding freshly cooked food at very reasonable prices, then this is for you! We had the meze which was delicious.The prices of drinks are very reasonable as well. The service was excellent, staff is very polite, helpfull and allways smiling..

The live program started from 10 o'clock onwards and it was superb. There were two singers a woman and a man that were amazing with a very big variety of songs. We were dancing all night.

Everyone had a nice time we really enjoyed it.

I highly reccomend it for a really nice night out.

Went from Reading/Berks to Apollo restaurant 8 of us to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. This was my second time there and all of us were well impressed. The place is warm and tidy with nice decor. The food was plently and very tasty, in my opinion the best Greek-Cypriot food served in London. The prices for food and drinks were reasonable. The service was 10 out of 10, the 2 waiters (Dimitris & ....sorry) that served us were kind, helpful, friendly and professional. From 10pm onwards started the live program which again was extremely good. The 2 singers one man and one woman were jolly with nice voices and good reportorium of songs. They would accept any invitation to sing songs that the customers wished. We danced a lot! It was a very nice evening, all my friends had a lovely time and we are now planning to go there again soon. I am sure my wife will remember her 50th birthday!
