Visited Kokeb one sunny afternoon. Had lege tibbs, a spicy lamb dish which I had with rice and had a St George Ethiopian beer which complemented the meal nicely.
I dined outside in the enclosed front area surrounded by flower boxes, was served by the owner who was very helpful and friendly. Inside is just as nice and has a homely feel.
Kokeb is highly recommended and I'ts only a few minuits walk from Caledonion Rd Station. Go and visit !

I love this place. The best lunch time secret in Caledonian Road. 2 mins from the station. Fresh home style cooking, spicy and aromatic Ethiopian food. Juicy strip steaks cooked with butter and chilli, lacy injera bread and steak tartare! Try the coffee ceremony! Friendly friendly service from the lady owner and funky Ethiopian pop music!

Kokeb has to be one of London's best kept secrets. This unassuming little restaurant off Caledonia Road serves up delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine at an incredibly reasonable price! Everything £5 or less, and is cooked up from scratch in by the friendly woman who also greeted us and waited on our table!
Friendly, absolutely spectacularly delicious, this is the Rasa of Ethiopian food.
