Went on a Monday night, pretty quiet which was surprising considering how delicious the food was! Had a bottle of Georgian red wine too, very nice. Waitress was nice and there was a good selection of vegetarian food. I'm going back again this week, definitely recommended.

Went there looking for some interesting new cuisine - and what a pleasant surprise! Been there twice now, had different dishes each time and loved everything. They have some awesome crockpot stews, grilled meat on skewers, swell vegetarian options, and my favourite is cheese bread khachapuri (which is more hot cheese than bread). I can honestly say, I could just go there for this bread and a bottle of decent Georgian wine, which is one of the tings this country is famous for.

The starters consist of three different dishes to share enough for two and cost £13. Mains are around £10; and they certainly know, how to make coffee. Most dishes will have walnuts and pomegranate seeds sprinkled over, but, I suppose, if you don't like them, you could always ask not to add any to your dish.

The first time they played some old French chansons, the second time - Georgian music. I found both very pleasant. The atmospthere is nice and not pretentious and you can expect to be able to have a good conversation with your guests there.

The waitress is very helpful and polite. Make sure you tip her! I did!

Recently went to Tbilisi restaurant and I must say I was very impressed. Food was fresh, carefully spiced and nicely presented. My favourite was chachapuli, very tasty indeed. Service is very friendly and atmosphere pleasant. Having said that I would suggest to the management to have more Georgian music on the background rather than some jazz or any other music. Just a friendly suggestion. Will go for a dinner again soon

Hearing about Georgian cuisine has always made me want to try this type of food, and being a local and having walked past this place many times I was ready to go.

Everything here is REALLY tasty, 4 of us ordered a bunch of starters (about 6 dishes all up) which were all really wonderful and will leave you bragging to your friends. The mains also memorable with such different and interesting flavours it makes everyone stop and pause to figure out what's in what. Georgian wine is also different from your french or aussie plonk and this also was a real highlight of the meal.

Everything was fine, nice comfy seats, good service that's not too over the top, reasonably priced food and wine, decor suitable and soothing, a great all rounder that will offer something different, I strongly recommend!!

Simply delicious. If you like hidden gems, you'll love this place. Everything is TASTY. Go for some starters and the lamb or chicken as mains are simply delicious. Caramel cake for dessert was wonderful. Give it a go!

I can't say if it this is authentic but I can say that the food has always been fantastic when i have been here and the menu is extremely wide ranging so there should be something for everyone.

I have recommended this place to loads of people and they all love it. Yes, the service is sometimes a little low-key but the staff are always pleasant and helpful. maybe not the best place if you are in a rush but otherwise highly recommended.

The World In 202 Meals

Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Meals like our meal at Tbilisi are exactly the reason we started this blog. The food was maybe the most unpredictable we’ve tried so far, and the wine, coming from a country that claims to have invented the drink, was just as interesting…My khinkali, dumplings resembling a larger version of the Chinese steamed sort were topped in fiery black pepper that added an edge to the ground beef/pork and vegetable broth filling. Those dining on chanaki, “spicy lamb and aubergine”, called it a cross between rogan josh and goulash—the perfect description.
