I can't say if it this is authentic but I can say that the food has always been fantastic when i have been here and the menu is extremely wide ranging so there should be something for everyone.

I have recommended this place to loads of people and they all love it. Yes, the service is sometimes a little low-key but the staff are always pleasant and helpful. maybe not the best place if you are in a rush but otherwise highly recommended.

I was there two days ago and I was disappointed. I used to be a frequent guest of that restaurant but gradually they destroyed their reputation. I am a georgian myself and I know what the real georgian food is. The food is getting worse day by day. I think i was my last visit there. The service was awful and realy slow. Particularly what made me upset it was food.A cheese bread is supposed to be full with cheese but what we got it was an empty bread without any cheese. That was the worst cheese bread of my life I think. We complained to a waiter but they just ignored the fact. the other dishes were not good either.

So I would advise to everybody do not go there if you do not want to be tricked by them.

If you want to try georgian food in that case there are other places to try it.

Visited last week and, again, very enjoyable. But, a tip - unless you are set on having the mains, you would be well advised, if dining as a party, to stick to sharing the various iterations of the starter platters for two - the mains are competent but unexciting and quite salty, whereas the starters are fresh, vibrant salads and light dishes - very typical and representative of good Georgian cooking - and each comes with a melting khachapuri cheese-bread! Combine these with some interesting Georgian wines and you have a recipe for a good evening!

ME AND MY FRIEND VISITED THIS iNTERESTING RETSAURANT IN DECEBER 2008, fOOD WAS GREAT BUT NOTHING TO WHAT REAL GEORGIAN RESTAURANTS IN TBILISI, WE HAD STARTER AND KINKALI, WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Me and my friend visited this interesting restaurant in December 2008. Food was great but nothing to what real Georgian restaurants in Tbilisi serve. We had starter and kinkali which was absolutely delicious.

Great Georgian food! Is really worth it.

The design is not great and the interior could be better but very nice people.

We definitely recommend this place.

The food at Tbilisi is brilliant; so fresh, interesting and perfectly spiced and seasoned. I've enjoyed every dish I've eaten here, but I'd particularly recommend getting a good selection of the starter salads. The Georgian wine is out of this world and very reasonably priced when you consider how difficult it is to get hold of in Britain.

The World In 202 Meals

Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Meals like our meal at Tbilisi are exactly the reason we started this blog. The food was maybe the most unpredictable we’ve tried so far, and the wine, coming from a country that claims to have invented the drink, was just as interesting…My khinkali, dumplings resembling a larger version of the Chinese steamed sort were topped in fiery black pepper that added an edge to the ground beef/pork and vegetable broth filling. Those dining on chanaki, “spicy lamb and aubergine”, called it a cross between rogan josh and goulash—the perfect description.
