Mandeer Vegetarian Restaurant

I am so, so sorry to read that the Mandeer Restaurant has closed. What a shame. What happened, why did it close? The owner, Ramesh Patel, is the kindest and most generous restaurateur and human being my husband and I met, in our time together. We met Ramesh originally in Gainesville, Florida in the U.S. That is where the Mandeer originally was located. We went there often because the food was always delicious, the service prompt and friendly, and Ramesh would always take the time to talk to us. We were very disappointed when he left for London, and took his great cooking with him. Some years later, when we had the golden opportunity to visit the great city London, we looked him up. Right away he invited us to the Mandeer. When we got there, we caught up on news from oversees. We ordered and he laid out a spread for us: As it turned out free of charge! The food was outstanding as ever. He even referred us to an Ayurvedic doctor who stayed right next door.

The Mandeer was a vegetarian restaurant bar none, and I am truly shocked surprised that it closed. Did Mr. Patel retire?
