Mahal Indian Restaurant

Went to this restaurant for the first time last night.

Not very busy when we arrived so our order was taken quickly. The place was starting to fill up as our starters arrived. Starters (meat platter) were cold so we sent them back (to be nuked in the microwave no doubt). Our main course took at least 45 minutes to arrive by which time most of the customers who'd arrived after us had finished and paid up. If we hadn't been chatting so much and were more aware of the time delay we probably would have left then. I wish we had as when it finally arrived, our main course was cold too and so sent back for more nuking.

When it came to pay the manager removed the service charge but refused to lower the bill any further. Also refused to acknowledge that others had been served several courses in the time it took for us to have one and that our food had been fine even though we'd had to send it back twice.

Told us not to come back when we left. As if we would!

Oh - and the food was rubbish too.
