your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
Six of us ate here recently on a Friday night and enjoyed a very pleasant evening. We shared starters of traditional Italian antipasti and breads, the quality was generally good and the food well presented. Similarly we selected between us a variety of mains including pizza, pasta, gnocchi and chicken. The consensus was that all were well cooked and full of flavour. We skipped desserts since the mains particularly were filling.
Service was attentive but not intrusive although the waitress didn't appear especially familiar with the menu. It may be she was new. The atmosphere was dominated by the music played since it wasn't busy and in my view neither added to nor took away from the ambience of the restaurant.
The bill, including drinks & coffee, came to around £35 p/h which whilst not cheap represented value for money in my view. They included 12.5% service charge which we paid, but I would prefer it if restaurants left this to the diners’ discretion.
I am often sceptical about eating in Italian restaurants in England since the quality is in my experience at best variable, but this is surely one of the better ones.

Went to this restaurant the other night for my birthday and simply CANNOT praise it enough! The food was incredible - from the starter to the pudding. (I had the Pollo Funghi for my main, AMAZING) The service was 5 star, taking your coat, showing your table, pouring the champagne, they simply cannot do enough for you. It was slightly more pricey than restaurants I am used to but worth every penny. The atmosphere was lovely, very romantic. I love the layout too, downstairs a bar with every spirit imaginable behind it, they immediately ask what drink you want and bring it to you straight away. Upstairs is the main eating area overlooking Wimbledon village, the tables aren't too close together which I sometimes find with restaurants. They play a variety of good music in the background, coldplay, u2 etc. The whole experience was just perfect I will definitely be going back as soon as I get my next paycheck!

I went to Piccolino for dinner last Saturday evening with my husband. The restaurant looks fabulously decorated, but not daunting. It was lovely to walk into a busy bar with a nice atmosphere and not be rushed into the table. We had drinks at the downstairs bar to start off and a meal in the restaurant. We found the staff very friendly and the food was very good. I would recommed a visit!
