I had Fish and chips- was top notch.

Partner had lovely sunday roast with chicked.

Service was quick but not very helpful. nice bar staff though. outside seating area is really nice.

would deff go back.

We went last Sunday on a recommendation from a guide at the cemetary (well worth a visit!).

The bar is lovely and the outside seating is really nice. However, there was a slight issue with one of the dishes we ordered. 2 out of the 3 dishes were amazing - fish and chips. Great batter and nicely cooked chips. It was my vegetarian roast that caused a problem.

Firstly, it arrived and was cold so I asked for it to be heated up. It took 20 minutes for it to come back after lots of perstering of the waiting staff. It eventually arrived back at the table with extra gravy (I hate gravy!) and was still not hot enough. I was annoyed but mindful of the other people at my table so ate it. I then complaied and was offered a few desset that after another 20 minutes had not arrived.

I formally complained to the manager who swiftly delt with the issue in the nicest way.

Based on the responce to my complaint I would return here, It really is a lovely pub and I'm the above was a one-off blip.
