Absoloutely appaling- I arrived on Saturday night for my 9.30pm reservation to be told they had no record of it- in fact I was made out to be a liar! I was then dismissed by the extremely rude manager and told I could wait and hour. Having done some investigating on the web this morning I have found many terrible reviews of this pub, so am thankfull we did not dine there afterall. I really could not recommmend this pub to anyone and I have not even dined there- with that attitude they do not deserve the business !

I go there all the time. It's a great place to go when you're hungover on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is quite nice. I recommend going for the steak every time as they cannot seem to do fish very well. And if you're feeling adventurous, try the ostrich or spring bock. It also has a really nice beer garden. It's dog friendly. The staff are mostly very nice. Probably the best thing is that it's just tucked away so that it never gets too busy and there's never any of the awful side of Clapham hanging out there.

What a fantastic place. Came here after noticing it on my commute to work. Yet another dull gastropub possibly, but no.
First good thing, the service. Our (American, or possibly Canadian) waitress was friendly, fast, efficient and got everything right. She worked hard for her tip and duly got it.
Then, the food. One visit is not perhaps enough to draw comparisons with the wonderful Palmerston over in East Dulwich but this is coming close. Free range chicken, a lovely starter of chicken livers, and great steak. Comfort food rather than gourmet cuisine but very good comfort food indeed. Knocks most of the overpriced rubbish around Clapham Common into a cocked hat.
