I have been to Masa many times, with a wide variety of friends. All agree that the food is superb and the portions very generous. Moreover, the prices are extremely reasonable, especially as they allow you to take your own wine and they do not charge corkage. The staff are all very friendly and the proprietor, who is there occasionally, is very gracious.

The lighting and decor could be more appealing (I write as a white Brit), and some of my companions have found the TV distracting; but these are minor complaints against a restaurant which is the best thing in Wealdstone, if not in Harrow.

I took two starving teenage boys to the buffet lunch here - and we all absolutely loved it. Gorgeous spicy chicken, succulent lamb, great hummus and lovely rice and flat breads. As much as we could eat all for £6.95 each. Would thoroughly recommend.

Food and surroundings very good and great value for money. Food arrived fairly quickly, but empty plates and dishes not cleared away when meal finished. A very good experience spoilt by poor service.

I have been to many as 5 different afghan restaurants across London... and still trying to find if any one else can beat Masa... The barbecue is amazing... The afghan pasta Mantoo needs to be tried by all... The staff are hard working and very friendly...

I go there in a regular basis and no complaint about the food... THE BARBECUE IS A MUST TRY AS WELL AS THE MANTOO!!! recommended to all...

Also the food is cheaper than other places with similar food... so well worth the price...

Everytime I go I see they are getting better which more awards... this explains how good they are...

MUST TRY!!!

Masa has become a regular stop for me on my trips to England. i haven't found an Afghan restaurant here in the states that i have enjoyed more than my meals there. And now a trip to London is not complete without dinner at Masa with friends and family. a MUST for anyone that loves Afghan food!

My family go to Masa's on a regular basis, as we all thoroughly enjoy the experience of dining there. The food is delicious and well presented! I am vegetarian and the rest of my family eat meat, but there's something there for everyone (am a big fan of the paneer kebab). The atmosphere is pleasant. The service can't be faulted - friendly and efficient. The bill at the end is very reasonable. You get a lot of tasty food for your money (which is good as my family can eat a lot!). I could not disagree more the reviewer who has used the words 'appalling' and 'disturbingly inferior' here. Ridiculous. And in fact, the purpose of that review seems to be to promote another restaurant, which smacks a little of insincerity...

I totally would recommend Masa's to couples, families, all!!

Can not describe in words how appalling the quality of food is here in comparison to the Afghan restaurant I visit on a regular basis (Afghan Khyber Restaurant, Uxbridge Road, just past Ealing Hospital), if you think Masa is amazing then please try Khyber Pass, you will never return to Masa. Prices are the same but the quality of meat in Masa was disturbingly inferior, fatty, hardly any meat on the lamb shank in the qabeli rice, the houmous was dried up, the naan and salad were not too bad but you can not go wrong with that. The mantoo looked dried up, just covered in yoghurt, not the usual lentils, herbs and spices. No afghani style tea, in the end 2 of my dining companions had to leave the restaurant abruptly as a stench that is indescribable started to overpower our surroundings...
