Lovely relaxed place overlooking the Thames with views of St Pauls - was not rushed to make my choices and simply allowed to pick and choose my selection and enjoy my sake. Waitresses are helpful and aim to please. An excellent find!

went yesterday evening despite reading a so-so review in the guardian - i was quite impressed (a good reminder not to pay too much attention to snooty reviewers).
Bincho was as nice as any yakitori joint i've been to in Japan. Actually having Japanese staff was a nice touch too!
I would recommend the (incredible) aubergine, duck & super succulent beef skewers. i was a little scared of the fried prawn balls that were making a noise and did not look of this world - interesting but wouldn't order them again, although if deep-fried food is your thing go for it.
price was fine but do be aware some things, despite being very cheap, were tiny. the zuchini was zuteeny.

Baited into Bincho by their interesting free tissue advertising campaign, we decided to stay for dinner rather than braving the weather back into the city from the Oxo. The fantastic food, the overflowing Sake in wooden boxes, the moody dark atmosphere and the overall friendly attitude of the entire staff from entering the door to leaving really made this place a hit with my friends and I. We were puzzled why a Japanese restaurant didn't serve Sushi but we were informed by our waitress that this Japanese restaurant specializes in Isakaya Yakitori. After we tasted what they had on offer we had no complaints there. Having just opened it was not so busy but I am sure that won't last long..... goodluck!

Stumbled into Bincho last night whilst walking along. Second floor of the OXO building and through a lovely tunnel like corridor into a brand new restaurant literally overlooking the Thames. Nicely decorated, great views and an open kitchen with several chefs tending to flame grilled meats.
Having not tried yakitori before, my girlfriend and I were intrigued to see the menu and what was on offer.
There was starters, salads and then meats on skewers. They sell by the skewer so you can buy as little or as much as you like. Had the usual fried chicken starter which was very nice and fresh. Following this was chicken based skewers, fish, some quail, lamb, beef and duck.
All the meat was very fresh and tasted amazing. Along with some strange fried prawns dish which was lovely (waitress recommendation).
Also ordered a small bowl or chicken rice and vegetable rice - again very fresh and had a great taste.
The service was perfect, the waitress's suitably Japanese! The descriptions of each dish was accurate and the waitresses were on hand to help with ordering.
Speaking to the restaurant manager at the end, she came over and asked how our meal was then told us they had only been open for about 2 weeks!
If you would like a fairly relaxed dining experience, with great views, great quality ingredients and something a little different then I would definitely recommend this place.
