The service at this restaurant was terrible. The staff were so casual when they served us that the waiter actually missed my wine glass and poured the wine all over the table. He did not apologise. Another waiter dumped things on the table and then appeared to be laughing at us. Finally, a waitress packaged up a salad for us to take home and when I picked up the bag, salad dressing spilled out of the bag all over my silk dress. We could not get out of there fast enough. Although the food was fine, this is not a cheap eat restaurant and far too high a price to pay for being treated so rudely.

I do not know where to begin to describe the pleasurable experience we had a Hiba Restaurant.
First of all, being of Lebanese origins I know what good Lebanese good tastes like; also on my first and certainly not last trip to this restaurant, I went with four Lebanese men who are very picky about their food. However, we were all won over with the service, food, decor and of course the price!
Do not be fooled by the pictures you see online, as before going we thought it was small and tight, however it was anything but the picture! And for anyone who is particular about the restrooms-rest assured they are spotless clean!
I would most certainly recommend this to anyone who loves Lebanese food! and not one restaurant in London could live up to how delicious the food was, how friendly the service was and how good priced it was!
Will surely be going there very soon!

The food in this restaurant is delightful. I've been a couple of times, and on my recent visit I took a date who is vegetarian, and HIba caters well for veggies. We shares a mixture of hot and cold mezze dishes, with a savoury pastry. The dishes arrived all at once, beautifully presented and garnished, with a bowl of olives, and thin, crisply toasted pitta bread, along with a very fine yoghurt sauce. The flavours were exquisiste and the variosu textures very interesting. Among ones I can recall were chick peas in a flavoursome sauce which wasn't too dry, haloumi cheese, vine leaves, falafal (nicely spiced with a kick of chilli). One suprise was the quality of the house Lebanese red, lovely. Full-bodied like a new-world wine but with something a little different about it as you might expect. I gather they source their wines direct from their origin. Service ws polite and decent. I noticed an American chap on business next to us, and upon chatting he was absolutely loving his food too - "unbelievable!". I'll definitely be back for my 3rd visit to Hiba soon.

I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviewer. I have been to many Lebanese restaurants, and Hiba is definitely one of the best ones. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, the portions are big, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely. Even the toilets were sparkling clean.
We didn't have a booking, but got a table, and stayed for quite a while. When we left, there were many people waiting for a table, but no one had rushed us at all - we had deserts, coffees, the whole thing.
We asked for an excellent Lebanese wine (Chateau Kefraya 2002) that was not on the menu, and got one of the few bottles they had kept behind 'for special guests'. I was expecting to pay 50 or 60 Pounds, as this wine is in high demand (2002 was a great year), but we were charged a very reasonable £27 (not much more that i paid in the Beirut duty free a few years ago).
The baklava was the freshest I have ever had in London.
In conclusion, a great place, we will certainly come again.
