Went to Maedah Grill on Saturday. As we had to be at the Royal Albert Hall for 7.30pm we thought we'd have enough time arriving just before 4.30pm but ended up rushing out two hours later, mainly due to the lack of service although the restaurant was anything but busy.

We had to call the waiter to order drinks, then again after being presented with dips but nothing else to ask for bread, to ask for dessert and the bill with long waiting periods in-between.

The food was superb and it's very good value for money but having to constantly look around for waiting staff to get served or be able to order is a pain.

So unless you have at least 3 hours to spare for a meal it wouldn't suggest going back there.

Great tasting food, good service standards and friendly staff. I have been visiting Maedah Grill regularly for the past two years and will continue to do so for along time to come.

I can't help myself but this is totally average. We wen't there on Friday evening and we weren't excited about any of the meals we had. Especially the main meal was too greasy both times. Considering the price, I would recommend going just 50 yards further the street to Tayabbs and enjoy a much better and less expensive meal.

My son keeps on telling me that this newly discovered Turkish restaurant in the East End produces the most divine lahmajun he has ever eaten - and he should know since he is a lahmajun addict! So, the Easter break seemed to be a good time to visit the Maedah Grill. The lahmajun as starters were delicious and the various sauces that came with the food was outstanding. Sadly, they forgot to give us their 'daily bread' but I forgave them since the food was so good. I had Kaburga, as my main dish; fatty spare ribs subtly seasoned with herbs and slightly hot to the taste (what is called aji in Turkish). This was my first Kaburga after 20 years (earlier one eaten at my in-laws house in Istanbul, fully authentic) and it will live long in my memory. My wife had Sarma kebab and I was happy to eat half of that too! The drinks (Ayran, Salgam) were perfectly seasoned and spiced. The sweets (Kadayif, Baklava) were fresh and delicious.

The atmosphere is lively, possibly with too many loud children around (reminds me of American restaurants!). The place is clean, most importantly the toilets are excellent.

I certainly recommend this place as the one to visit for all food lovers.

Just had dinner at Maedah Grill. First time but not the last. I am a curry nut and have hardly tried turkish food. But this place surprised me. Had the Sarma or Salma kebab, bit brave for me but it was delicious. Planning to take my work mates this week. Cant wait

i went to this restaurant 2 days ago and i wish i didn't! At first i thought wow i hope the food is as good as the place and service. the food was ok, well what i got to taste from it because after 15 / 20 mins a waiter , i think he was a waiter, maybe the owner i don't know he wasn't dressed like the other waiters, anyway he came to the table and asked if we have finished , i said no and the table was clearly FULL of food! then he said would u like me to pack it u so u can take it take away, at that point i realized we were not welcome and i got offended so i just said "actually we have finished u can take the plates". he was so eager to get us out of there, i don't know why, he then was trying to take most of the plates in one go. we hadn't even asked for the bill was very weird. i have never been so mistreated in my life let alone in a restaurant, was a shame really. anyway after we left the restaurant i called the manager and told him what happened, he said in a very rude way " what do you want me to do about it?" i said i just wanted to know why i was treated so badly maybe i did something wrong, he said "no u didn't, what the waiter said wasn't healthy, what you want me to do". based on the above worst place i have ever been to although could potentially have been a good place.
