2nd visit for me. Not as good I'm afraid.
Food was lukewarm and we returned a dish, which was kindly deducted from the bill.
I came away thinking it just wasnt as good as the first visit.
All restaurants have their off days but when the previous visits have been good it's disappointing.
I've been to Barcelona tapas in Aldgate 4 times and never had a bad meal but reading the reviews it sounds like things have slipped there also but I think I would rather give Barcelona another try instead of Ortega though.

Great tapas restaurant, much better than Barcelona's. Well worth a go for a casual lunch.

Smashing restaurant. Decorated to a very comforting standard. Leadenhall Market is a magic area anyway but with the authentic food served it proved to make an evening very enjoyable.
1 minus point to note. They turned away some people at 9.45 as "the kitchen was closing". Not really a good call seeing as this is "buzzy" London.

I visited Ortega last night and I was amazed with the Decor very funky and slick.
The service was great, I served by a really helpful waitress called Lucy, the food was gorgeous too. This place is very cool.
