Royal Dragon's been one of my favourite Chinatown haunts for some time now. The service has always been friendly and swift, and the food has often been excellent.

However, In recent visits it's left me slightly-underwhelmed, but my girlfriend's sung its praises to me on her recent vists, so maybe I've just been a little unlucky.

Dim Sum here is fantastic, freshly cooked and full of flavour - it helped me see the light after far too many visits to sample New World's Thanks to the late opening times, it's also been a post pub/theatre/cinema stop-off more times than I can remember. It's also got really nice lighting and furniture, making you feel that you're in a far more expensive place.

Overall, I would definitely put this in my top-three Chinese restaurants in Chinatown.

went here with a party of 24 for a karoke and feast-on-chinese night. was not disappointed. had a private room which fitted us all comfortably, food was delicious, excellent value and the staff were lovely. karoke screen was enormous too with some particularly amusing choices on there. would recommend to everyone.

Was there last night, as somebody else mentioned much better than the next door larger Golden Dragon in almost every way. We both had soup to start with which was very good, we then had a sweet and sour pork, some basic noodles and I had the deep fried lemon chicken which was perfect. This was washed down by a couple of beers and the bill came to just £32. The service was fast and the waitress answered questions we had and was polite. Not sure about the atmosphere or decor, but that's more and individual thing and I was more concentrating on my date and the food that those. We both left very happy, full and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

A party of 7 went on the off chance quite late last Sunday evening. The chicken curry was to die for. In fact all the dishes were very high standard. Would definately eat here again.

I'm really puzzled by the positive reviews of this place. I had dinner there last night and everything was wrong. Spring rolls were just mince in pastry, and came with Lea and Perrins sauce! Half my noodles were uncooked. The staff could not have been ruder if they had been trying. It was not cheap either - we could have had better food for a third of the price. As for the decor, it felt like eating in the kitchen section of an IKEA store.

This restaurant single-handedly ruined our day. Personally I will avoid it like the plague in future.

Simply amazing. We ended up here at 2am and the polite, friendly and accomodating staff managed to fit all 6 of us within 15mins.

I am a seasoned eater of chineese food in London and I can safely safe, this is the best chineese food I have ever tasted. You are in for a real treat.

From the soft shell crab to the chillied cod and the salt and pepper ribs, all were plentiful, fresh, full of flavour and simply mouth watering.

I can't recommed this place enough, a real gem in the heart of Chinatown 10/10
