Fantastic food and some very unique taste with minimum oil. Full of brilliant flavours. Elegant decor, efficient service. Highly Recommended.

We regularly eat at the Everest Inn because the food is delicious and the service is exceptional. We have already recommended this restaurant to many friends and would recommend it to anyone who loves wonderful food, charming service and a lovely cosy and warm atmosphere. Not only is this the best place to eat in Blackheath but also one of the best places to eat in London!

The Everest Inn is the best restaurant in Blackheath. The food is wonderful as it is very imaginative and tasty, a welcome change from the average indian food you will get in the other indian restaurants in the village of which have a high standard. The service is professional, friendly and nothing is too much. I organised a meal for my mother in law in April for her 80th birthday and I chose this restaurant as it is so reliable and I knew we would all have a lovely meal there. We had been there for a special Christmas meal and had takeaway food numerous times and it was always superb. The staff were fantastic, very attentive to detail and gave us the whole of the bottom floor of the restaurant with a buffet which was very much enjoyed by everyone. The ambience, service etc was beyond reproach. I brought a cake, forgetting to get a candle which was promptly sorted out for me and the cake brought to the table at the appropriate time. Thank you all at Everest Inn for making my mother in law's birthday very special.

Although at first glance the menu appears to have promise, the food is mediocre at best, and this restaurant does not represent value for money. For example, the momo's we ordered were of very poor quality, with the bland lukewarm meat mixture having come out of the dumpling in two of the momos. The dish is massively over-priced with only four momos for £4.95. The Gurkha Inn in Greenwich gives you six momos for £3.65, and they are far far superior in taste too. The "wild mushroom" and asparagus birjani was equally insipid, with chewy rehydrated dried mushrooms and absolutely no seasoning and half an asaparagus stalk. Again, massively over-priced at £9.95.

I love Indian food and am always on the look out for somewhere new locally so went to The Everest Inn a few weeks ago with bloke. It was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it and probably won't be going back. This restaurant cannot decide if it's a bog-standard Indian or nouvelle-cuisine one - either way, it needs to make up it's mind.

I ordered a paneer shaslick, a dish that normally comes to the table on a sizzling hot plate, but instead, it was already on a dinner plate and was very rubbery and not at all crispy. It honestly tasted like it had just been microwaved and some gravy browning added to give it the appearance of having been in a clay oven. Also, am not sure when purple basil became an acceptable garnish on Indian food but it added absolutely nothing to the bland meal.

Bloke said his prawns were okay, but nothing more and the staff were distant and unfriendly and it was not cheap either.

Definitely one to avoid unless you like quite bland Indian food and indifferent staff.

Ate at Everest Inn, Blackheath just after Xmas 09 with family and friends. Restaurant was quiet, but it was Boxing night and no doubt most people still working off Xmas lunch. Excellent meal and service. Best Indian/Nepalese I have had outside of my own home. We are going back again this month (Feb 10) with more friends. I suspect this will become our 'family gatherings' restaurant foing forward.

I think this Restaurant "Everest Inn" is one of the best in Blackheath - I would give Chapters in first place and Everest for the second place in the area! we have no complaint for these two places in Blackheath for quality food and service. We have been dining at Everest for many occasion, cant wait for the next visit!

I have read the above review of the restaurant, and thought I would share my recent experience. We wanted to visits Everest Inn at their new premises in Blackheath. Which they have moved about 2 Months ago from the above mentioned premises.

we made the reservations of 6 people on Tuesday night at 7.30pm, when we arrive, the ground floor part was already buzzing, we were taken downstairs on the basement, I personally do not like to sit on the basement, and thought Oh no! But... we were shown to the basement, one charming staff great us and shown to the table, than we realise how wonderfully they done the place, nice sofa and banquette seating, round table, and very nice wooden craft decorations - very impressed! Now I wouldn’t mind seating on the basement like this.

Fantastic food, both the starters and the main courses. Specially the Scallops starters was fantastic, balanced spiced, chutney just melted on the mouth. Well cooked and tasty. Nice selection of Chefs Recommendations. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices and buzzing atmosphere... we all appreciate this Restaurant as a high class upmarket Nepalese Restaurant in south east London.

I took their business card - where it says their philosophy "providing quality food, exceptional service and outstanding Value” and agreed without any doubt.

I would highly recommend this Restaurants and please shire with my comments, see what you think? As this is my only 2nd review.
