Waste of money, £14 for half a portion of curry, listed as with potatoes. I received one baby potato and a quarter (if that) of a chicken breast. Fine if your paying £7 but for £14 I at least expect that to come with rice or another potato.

Overall this must be the best restaurant in Wimbledon. There was a mishap during the latter part of October when the usual manager, Peter was absent. On that occasion the service was poor, the food unappetising and the evening a disaster as a result! However, after some two-years and four visits since the end of October debacle all is top class again.
Food is five-star with generous helpings and tasty.
Service is good. Ambience is excellent. Cleanliness is excellent.
The STAR turn is the Manager (Peter). He is amazingly courteous, helpful and manages his staff well. Peter looks exceptionally smart in his new Thai suit and even his bald head is shining!
HIGHLY recommended but if you want a good seat you must book in advance.

We have been very regular customers at the Suk Saran Thai over a number of years.
Last night we had the worst treatment of customers I have ever experienced at any restuarant worldwide.
Our experience has generally been that the food is of high quality and service to match. However last night when we ordered we had to send back a number of dishes, a number of times. The rice we ordered was overcooked, the Gai Grapaw was served on a cold plate and was only luke warm when it arrived. We sent both dished away only to have the chicken returned on a warm plate and another dish of over cooked rice. We eventually got food which was just about acceptable, Having sent the rice away 3 times and had to have the chicken dish recooked and served on a hot plate, We eventually got food which was just about acceptable, although the dished which had been left on the table were now only luke warm, we informed the resturant the this was totally unacceptable and would not be paying in full.
We ate the food and then asked for the bill which was £61 and included a service charge of £7. I told the waiter it was not acceptable and suggested our experience was only worth £30.
The owner told us that if we did not think the food was good then we should not have eaten it and refused any discount. He eventually offered to remove the service charge and after a long dispute I settled the bill at £50 which I paid under protest. Effectively taking off the service and a rice.
The manager's attitude was basically: 1) you cannot over cook rice.
2) you have to ask for hot plates as a standard they will not serve food in a hot plate.
3) if the food is not of an acceptable standard they will happily recook it however if you complain and then eat you have to pay full price.
4) He also was unwilling to accept the fact that I should be allowed to pay what is reasonable for the experience and the food.
I only pay the high prices at the Suk Suran restaurant to get exemplary food and service, neither of which i received last night. hence my review.

We went a few times after our last review and order from the lunch menu, the food is very good but the size of the portions can vary from very reasonabe to very poor like the lamb curry which was 4 very small pieces of meat, a miniature potato and tomato, all swimming in a very nice curry sauce. We complained that the portion was too small and that we were going to leave the restaurant hungry and they did not seem to care at all or offer anything else. We ended having to go for a snack after that.

Very good experience over all. The food was delicious and the staff were very nice, letting us in after the kitchen had closed. The set lunch time menu is good value for money but if you order a la carte it can result in a very expensive meal.

Great place. Really fresh, zesty delicious food, nice decor, good atmosphere and very nice service. My only complaint being the zealousness with which the waiting staff want to take away dishes - pause for a second and they're in there wanting to take dishes. A common trait alas. i wish waiting staff would just leave them all till clearly the meal has finished. Othere than that a really good place and I will be going back.
