The Swan was subjected to a fire and is no-longer trading. The team and the lovely food is sadly missed.

It is so hard to find a really, really good Restaurant that is great value for money and serves fresh food, even harder to find this in a Chinese Restaurant as well.
Previous to moving to Harrow just over 2 years ago we lived in SW London, and if we wanted to go out to a really good local Chinese meal we would go to Lams in Hammersmith, again fresh, great quality, value for money, brilliant service. Must have been there 10 times and had an amazing meal every time. If we wanted a takeaway would not use Lams as they delivered but fortunatly managed to find a local takeaway that was just as good as Lams.
Now in the 2 years of living in Harrow, we have struggled to find a good restaurant, and have not found that missing ingredients in freshness, taste, quality and value for money. The Take aways were also terrible, the first one we order tasted liked it had a cup full of salt in it, I had to send back to the takeaway, which i must say is quite a rare thing to do for me as i will normally eat everything even if unhappy!!
Last week, I took my wife out for a birthday meal, as you do, and stumbled across the Swan in Hatch End which is a newly refurbished Restaurant that has been there for 40 years. It looked fantasic and very welcoming, as were the staff there.
The service from the minute that i walked in to the minute i walked out was what i would would expect from an award winning Restaurant. The Manager was always aroundf to help and was keen to talk to the guests in the restaurant. The restaurant was soon busy after we arrived, so we could tell it was popular,
The menu is brillaint with a great selection, not too much that you can not decide like most Chinese Restaurants, We started with a Dim Sum Platter - amazing!! I had my favourite - Chilli Crispy Beef, my wife had a Prawn dish, and both were stunning, though i would of liked mine a little spicier, but thats just me. Could of easily eaten both of the dishes.
We skipped on dessert as we had a great Xmas cake to eat when we got home.
Our drinks (Semillion Chardonnay and bottle still mineral water) were topped up through out the meal, we were offered extra bits and pieces through out the meal as was everyone else around us,
This Restaurant has it all great staff, great food, a really good friendly, welcoming atmosphere, excellent service throughout.
Over all this was a brilliant experience and now so happy as we have found an amazing Restaurant near to where we live and for only £60 which included the service charge.
