this is a fantastic place for lunch in a lacklustre part of Holborn. Family run, they've been knocking out great quality homemade mediterranean food for years, and it really is home made. Huge range of vegetarian options as well as meat ones, and the salads are all fresh and healthy. My favourite is the chickpea curry salad, red cabbage coleslaw, filo quiches when they have them; and the lentil stew which is apparently a Weightwatchers recipe - yes, the phrase weightwatchers lentil stew might strike fear into the heart of many, but this is sooooo nice.

It's cosy inside - get there earlyish at lunchtime if you want to sit down indoors and be prepared to budge up next to other people. Outside tables too.
