This place is my favourite Indian restaurant in north London. If you haven't tried it, I recommend the chilli paneer and chicken shimla. It even offers a delicious tasty lunchtime snack menu and if you are in a hurry, takeaway lunchboxes.

I am lucky enough to live within walking distance of La Kera and visit at least two or three times a month. The food is wonderful, the prices fair, the drinks good and the atmosphere is lovely, very relaxing.

The menu changes each month with chef's specials and once a month there is a Poetry and Poppadums night too, definitely worth a visit.

It feels like I've stumbled across one of Wood Green's best kept secrets in La Kera and while it's wonderful to go there, it really does deserve more customers than it gets. However, its positioned a little off the beaten track and doesn't get a lot of passing trade, you have to know it's there as it doesn't advertise widely - and that is both its upside and its downside.

If it was in Muswell Hill the place would have rave reviews and it'd be be packed full every night of media types and luvvies. Thankfully, it's not, and that's what makes it so very special indeed. The food really is amazing and the people who work there are so very friendly too. I love it.

With not a cliche in sight, La Kera is the one of the hidden gems of Wood Green: a varied menu where you’ll find unusual dishes and a new take on something familiar; fresh and seasonal ingredients cooked by a crew that clearly take pride in their work; gentle, friendly, professional service and knowledgeable advice; well-chosen and wide-ranging music; evident and supportive connections to the local cultural community; and if you go there regularly, familiar faces in the staff and clientele. This place deserves to be full every night because they’ve never failed to impress us on every front, even after 5 years; La Kera is simply one of the best moderately priced restaurants in North London.

Possibly the worst Restaurant, poor food quality, no fresh ingredients, no specials, too bright and that's not the staff, poor management, and the worst thing was, it was sooo cheap we felt it 'unfair' to complain......utter dismal incompetence!!!

One of the best Indian restaurants in London and a real gem for Haringey. The stuffed paneer starter is quite simply a perfect dish.

Definately my favourite restaurant at the moment. Wonderful food quite different from the usual run of Indian restaurants. Very friendly helpful staff. Best of all there is plenty of space so you can talk to your friends. It's in an unlikely spot at the back of Wood Green but well worth going out of your way to find it.

It was after a long gap we went back to La Kera. The food is still Gorgeous, we love it, very different from the usual Indian restaurants in its flavours. The menu has got lot more choices than before. It's amazing the way the Indian food draws its flavours from different communities and cultures within itself. There were a lot of stuff from Kerala itself, but amazingly diverse. It's sad that La Kera is so hidden, though special. I recommend it to any one who loves Indian food.
