4 of us celebrated a anniversary and Nuovo Buckhurst hill last night .It was a very enjoyable experience the food was superb service as always excellent choice of food (specials) brilliant the chef frederick forster came out to see us nice chap

dont think any of us could fault the experience would we return YES of course we shall probably next week.Oh great rear car park makes life so easy.

visited Nuovo Buckhurst Hill yesterday hadnt booked but took a chance when we arrived approx 8.15 the place was totally full however we were offered a drink in the lounge bar(very loveley bar) and was informed a table would come available in about 30 mins it did and oh boy it was worth the wait i understand they have chef of the year there and the food reflected this AMAZING top notch food relaxed atmosphere and very reasonable prices will definatley go back very soon

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A PARTY!

I booked a table for 15 and spent well over £200 for a joint birthday meal. When the cakes were brought out at the end of the evening they were taken away again and we were told we could not share and eat them for H&S reasons also they were not bought there! We were never told this, even when we brought them in before dinner. It spoilt an important evening and everyone was very disappointed. They should at least let people know in advance if this is their policy, the manager did not even apologise!

We went to this 'restaurant' for a wedding reception and I was extremely disappointed. There were less than 10 children at the reception, of which 4 under 5's were seated at our table. Despite this, and the fact it was quite late, we were served last. There was no children's menu, but despite asking for child portions (for a 4,3 and 2 year old) they brought adult sized piping hot food which the children couldn't eat for ages and barely ate any of because they were such huge portions (remember - this was a wedding reception, so we weren't paying, but I bet the bride & groom were fleeced for the cost of these meals). They were also filling up glasses with full bottles of wine (rather than half full ones) so they could charge the bride & groom for more bottles of wine used.

Worst of all was my treatment. I am breastfeeding my baby, who has a severe dairy allergy. I told this to the staff when ordering my food and requsted it was dairy free. However, they brought bread and butter to me with my starter (obviously I didn't eat it) and I am 99% sure they cooked my main in butter. My baby is now in severe pain - screaming all day and night thanks to Nuovo.

Do not go to this place - their customer treatment is appalling. If I lived closer, I would take my screaming son in there and show them what they've done.

we have just had a really loveley meal at nuovo buckhurst hill. i had calves liver my partner had lamb shank and my sister had lasagne vegiterian washed down with the cianti absoloutly delicious from start to finish .the restaurant is so warm and cozy yet very modern.. you really get the west end feel but with local prices..very good value for money..the service was very friendly...the waiter was very friendly....yes top marks to nuovo buckhurst hill....will go again soon

Tonight we celebrated my brother's birthday at Nuovo. There were 7 of us. Every dish was superb. I had the baked goats cheese with roasted peppers to start and lobster linguine as main and trio of ice-cream to finish. It was truly lovely. You can tell it has been freshly cooked. So different from chain restaurants. We have been before and will go again for sure. Thank you to the waiters for the attention and singing Happy Birthday,
