Efes Restaurant
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I went here on a Friday night with two friends and we were escorted downstairs to a table in the half empty restaurant. We were railroaded into ordering a set meal, but we refused and the visibly disgruntled waiter reluctantly gave us the regular menu. One of my party wanted water and was told he could only have bottled water (I thought it was against the law to refuse tap water?) and when he decided he'd rather have nothing to drink than be forced to buy water the waiter rolled his eyes as he walked away in disgust. There were also two waiters serving us, which seemed excessive. The food was barely palettable and the portions small, and to add insult to injury the waiter tried to overcharge us by charging twice for a starter and gave us our final bill with the optional tip added on which we had to ask to have removed as we certainly were not going to tip for such awful service.

Efes has been around for many years and many generations of people and stars have been through the doors. The food quality is fantastic and the pricing is cheap. Try the chicken shish actually try everything it's all great. While decor is a little tired it's clean and onc eyou tuck into your food the surroundings don't matter. Give it a try
