Unspeakably bad Coriander's customer service.
Ordered at 8pm, was told they were very busy; it could take up to an hour. I say: fine.
An hour and a quarter passes. I call back and am told "It's left 5 minutes ago. We serve people on a first come, first served basis."
I think: Logical. Well done. So all your customers are getting an equally badservice. But it is what it is, I guess.
I say: "Oh, okay. Well, look, you know, if you're running late, just call me and let me know."
I'm told: "We don't do that."
I think: Bit weird. Obviously the dishwasher helping out. Still, it's on its way. That's good.
Anyway. It's now AN HOUR AND 40 MINUTES since I placed my order (I live about a 5 drive from the restaurant, if that). I call back. Someone different. I say the same thing: "This is crazy. I understand you're busy. Just have the good sense to manage your customer's expectations. Never mind the good manners."
This time I'm told it is THEIR POLICY not to call customers (which, I guess, is why they asked for my phone number when I placed the original order). They don't have time, because they're working so hard to get the meals our to their customers.
At no point does anyone say sorry. At no point does anyone say: "Thanks for your feedback." Just attitude, and epic levels of stupidity.
Suffice it to say, when it did turn up (after 1 hour and 45 minutes), I turned it away.
