I booked 108 Marylebone because of the 50% deal. Drinks were v expensive (£8 G&T) but the waitress told us it was 50% off the whole bill - wine, coffees the lot. We checked this about 5 times as it seemed too good to be true but she was adamant! However, when the bill came it was only 50% off the food.
I ordered dressed crab with pecan bread. When it came the crab was very small and was served just with half a piece of white toast! Pecan bread must have been out of stock.... The full price of £16 for this would have been a total rip off. My friend had lobster which was dry with overcooked chips. On the plus side they did keep refilling the bread basket and the toilets were lovely!
Not an unpleasant dining experience but we won't be going back even with 50% off.

We went last night (7th November 2007) to 108 Marylebone lane using the 30% discount booking offer. I'm afraid I really wasn't impressed overall. It's quite a corporate affair, an absolutely huge hotel-like space which is overall just a little lacking in personality. The design & lighting is very good and the staff were very pleasant although language barriers meant the odd question / order took slightly longer to get across. The main man seating us was excellent though and very polite.
The starters were OK, a reasonable tomato soup, coarse pate and a tomato & mozarella salad. The problem was - and this was mentioned by other reviewers - that the seasoning was really lacking in each dish. There wasn't any zing or flavour that really stood out.
The mains were two lemon soles (basically deep fried lemon sole with chips) and a portion of duck. The duck was quite tasty but made me think you could get something much better in any Chinese restaurant in soho. The dauphinoise potatoes didn't really have any sauce with them and were just OK really.
We didn't have puddings, just coffee, and my espresso was very watery.
It just wasn't that great. I definately wouldn't go if I had to pay full price. To be honest there's about 30 other restaurants within a mile of here and I think quote a lot of them would be better.

108 Marylebone Lane is a fab place for a nice relaxed meal with good friends, good food and good wine. The menu was all fairly simple dishes but you could tell the quality of ingredients and the fact they were cooked well. We had an excellent night and will definately be returning.
