The food was very delicious and the atmosphere very friendly. Highly recommended especially for those who don't taste the cypriot cuisine..

Firstly I cannot comment on the food because we didn’t get to that stage. But after booking a table a couple days in advance my girlfriend and I arrived to find out that our reservation had not been written in their book. Which would have been acceptable on some level if the man checking the reservations had not been so totally rude to us.
His attitude was very poor, a smile costs nothing, or at least that’s what I thought until I met this guy. Firstly when we arrived he didn’t even say hello! We were asked about our reservation which he then realised wasn’t in the book, he spent a few seconds looking before informing us so and telling us in no uncertain terms to "move" out of the way, to clear the path for the other customers. Fair enough. Then he pointed at a table in the corner which we went and sat at, only for him to say "why are you sitting down, I said to you I was still looking", obviously not being psychic we didn’t realise that his pointing wasn’t for our instruction, the last time someone spoke to me like that I was about 8. He then continued to look at the book, before ordering us to go to the bar and have a drink, to which I asked "how long do you think it might be", "I don’t know, I’m looking, go to the bar" was snapped back at me. Shortly after we decided to leave without making a scene
To be fair everyone else in the restaurant greeted us politely with a smile and pleasant hello it was just this one employee that let the place down so badly. I mean, what someone with such a lack of personal skills is doing interacting with customers is beyond me. It was so uncalled for; neither I nor my girlfriend carry ourselves with any arrogance what so ever and were perfectly polite to him. Quite why he thought he had the right to speak to us the way he did is a mystery. I would have complained to the restaurant, but I have absolutely no intention of ever returning!!!

I can see why this place gets so many mixed reviews.
We waited and got served with an attitude, however the table next to us were treated like royalty.
The experience of eating out and trying something new was really horrible here and asking what certain things are before you order is an absolute NO NO!!!
I will stick to the Golden Eagle in the future.

I can't believe how arrogant the waiters are. They want to make a point that they are superior to the customers. WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE!?
I have been there a long time ago and it was excellent and good value for money. The over commercialisation of the place has killed the spirit.
Food is less than average and over rated. The chicken kebab came cold and the rest overcooked.
I could go on, but it's just not worth it.

North London is home to more than 200,000 Cypriots so there is ample choice of Cypriot and Greek Restaurants, but Vrisaki certainly stands out. My favourites are mixed (pork and sheftalia) and chicken kebabs, which are cooked superbly. It was a firm favourite when I lived in London, and I always go there whenever I visit London nowadays.

We went to the Vrissaki last week on the occasion of a friends birthday. When we arrived, all ten of us, our table was ready for us and very soon we had our drinks and had put our orders. We ordered four mixed meat mezzes. Promptly our cold starters arrived and they were followed soon with the hot plates. All ten of us had ample choices because there were so many to choose from, all cooked and prepared to perfection. The service was quick but unobtrusive, polite but friendly. We had a great time and an excellent dinner at very reasoable prices. We recommend it strongly.

My husband's business associates were visiting us from Wales, and he had asked me to make arrangements to take them out to dinner. So I reserved a table at the Vrissaki restaurant. The four of us were seated at a very nice table. One of our guests had kleftiko and the other had lamb souvla. I had grilled tsippouri while my husband had kleftiko as well. Our guests were very impressed with the speed of the service and the excellently cooked food. The kleftiko and souvla were cooked exactly right. The meat was tender and the roast potatoes very tasty and well cooked. The waiters were polite and prompt in their service and the atmosphere excellent. We recommend it to all who are looking for a memorable dinner.

Service issues!!! Thats all I can say!!!
OK the food is a little above average, but would it hurt to treat the customer as if he was actually welcome there? No it would not. You are looked upon as if you are vermin and that "Why the Hell should I serve you" look everytime a waiter passes by and you have not finished your food.
Miserable waiters.
