Well went for a takeaway today 15.10.09

Firstly having telephoned the order through, the gentlemen at the other end just put the phone down before i could finish what i was saying.

On getting to the restaurant being spoken to in the third person i found rude, the bill consisted of three different orders that needed to be paid seperately. No such chance!!!!!!

The staff were rude and unhelpful

Because of this the food and experience were soured!!!

Firstly, you have to barge your way through the crowds of men at the front waiting for their takeaways. Hard enough for most, but you would have thought a pregnant woman would have been given some leaway!!!

And then to be seated in the most awkward, uncomfortable place was just enough.

I got up and asked for a takeaway, only to be told I would have to wait 20-25 minutes... standing!!! As I was not allowed to go into the main restaurant if I did not want to eat there.

A waiting customer grabbed a chair for me. Never again.

Gourmet Chick

Gourmet Chick - 6/10

Monday, January 10, 2011 - The mezze is served with warm pita bread and is all pretty good with the exception of the prawns which are fairly measly looking specimens. In the end there are so many dishes that the waiters had to pile the tiny plates on top of each other. Hot mezze follows includings slices of slightly rubbery grilled halloumi on gammon, a plate of huge circular field mushrooms grilled with garlic and lemon and a serving of crispy battered squid...Vrisaki has a great relaxed and unpretentious feel to it however, quality does suffer in favour of quantity.
