We went to this restaurant as part of a London weekend theatre break. It was extremely busy but we served very promptly. The waiter was very good although the food was awful! It was a set menu for our package so we understood it was the cheaper option but the so called fish tasted old and was unrecognisable as fish and the pasta dish was the equivalent to Tesco value range and it was all like warm! We could not eat it and went to our show hungry. Our waiter took our comments on board and as a gesture of good will gave us free drinks so no complaints there! I'm sure this would probably be an ok place to eat - just don't pick the cheaper option!

We got a great deal - 50% off food and wine! Starters were average, main courses were very good. What spolied our evening and made us leave early was the ridicuously LOUD MUSIC. We complained to 3 waiting staff, who agreed with us, and eventually the manager was found. He was rude and argumentative. Told us we wouldn't notice after we'd drunk more. Needless to say, we left. Loss was a table of 8 spenders. I don't enjoy being shouted at by a restaurant manager and being told it's A LOUD MUSIC VENUE.

Went here for pre theatre dinner on Friday 11th Feb after booking the special 2 courses for £10-95 through this website, and we had a really nice time, food overall was lovely, the steak cooked to perfection and the service very good and the waiter very attentive especially when my wine glass was getting empty!!.
Only one little quip and that was when we sat down and were showed the set menu we were told of a surcharge on the salmon (£3) and steak (£5), there is no mention of it on the set menu and not even on this website so be warned, bearing in mind that there are only 4 main meals to choose from we did find this a bit of a con!!. However it is happy hour from 5-8pm which more than makes up for it so all drinks are half price.
Would definitely go back again but I do think the surcharges need to be made clearer because your not getting the bargain you think you are booking!!.

Excellent is how i rate this place . I visted this restaurant 2 weeks ago on a last minute theater break and I decided to add the meal deal on .I could not believe the service i received you would have thought i was a well know celebraty .I was greeted at the door and shown my table and offered the menu, even through i was on this special deal there was a good choice to choose from.
I choose the tomato soup followed by salmon and prawn skewer served with green beans and a glass of house wine which i left to the choice of my waiter .
The food was outstanding and a very good size portion of salmon with a delicious sauce , and served by outstanding friendly staff .
well done ill be back to eat here .
If one draw back the place was fully booked and the staff were all busy so some customers had to wait but when the food came im sure all was forgiven
please go and see for yourself you wont be disapointed

I was surprised to read some of the reviews on Sway. I had a pre theatre meal there last week and thought the whole experience was very good. The food was tasty and well presented and the staff were very friendly. It was very busy and the staff were under pressure but still managed to smile and be courteous. I have recommended Sway to friends. I am usually the first to complain if things are not ok so I'm glad I didn't read these horrible reviews prior to going myself.

I went to Sway for the first and the last time on 15 December for a work Christmas lunch. The upstairs part looks like it could have been a musical hall or a cinema, and could be nice. Instead, there is a very seedy air about it.
The service is indifferent to everything except trying to sneak more bottles of wine onto your table. The food was not good: two anaemic slices of smoked salmon on stale bread, sirloin cooked medium or else (!!!), and a minuscule Christmas pudding for dessert. How much did I pay? £25? That was way too much. Coffee was not even included... Oh, and they did not have Christmas crackers for everyone.
One to avoid.

Visited Sway bar on Friday 4th December for a work Christmas dinner - I don't normally write reviews but the experience was so dire that I feel obliged to alert people!
Firstly our booking of 8 were required to pay £35 each (the cost of a 3 course meal) in advance - never a good sign in my experience.
We were ushered downstairs into the basement / club which had been set-up as a restaurant. We were 30 minutes early so decided to have a drink at the bar. Looking around I could tell we were in for a rough ride. Rows of canteen-style tables, cheap plastic chairs, paper tablecloths, plates of half eaten food left in various places, under-equiped waiting staff struggling to cope. Our table was book for 8pm, but at 8.30pm we were still waited to be seated. The music had already been turned up very loudly by now - so loudly that you couldn't hear what you were saying. Apparently the place turns into a club, but really - RnB & Chart music blaring out while you are eating?!
Onto the food. I enjoy food, but I'm not a snob. I understand that Michellin starred restaurants can give you fantastic value & so can a canteen style curry house in Whitechapel. My tastes run the gamut. The food in Sway Bar was absolutely diabolical. A starter of smoked salmon was poor, the sirloin steak (all served medium, with no choice of alternative) I could have soled my shoes with and the desserts (one of which a tinned fruit salad!!) were embarrassing. It is all about value for money....£15 would have been fair, but £35 was an absolute disgrace.
I could go on for much longer about the rude waiting staff, the fact there was no lights in the toilet, the over-priced drinks and the waiters cutting our tablecloth with a stanley knife, but i'm guessing someone else will feel the same!

Went here a few weeks ago with my hubby for dinner. Staff were pleasant enough, although he got our order wrong. Drinks were ok . Food...had better!
Enjoyed the music though and the atmosphere - basically I think we got what we payed for. A nice evening, but I probably don't wish to visit here again, well not for dinner anyway.

Seriously horrible restaurant with, as your other reviewer says, no atmosphere. It's just a big vast space that hasn't been developed properly as a restaurant because it becomes a night club at night - and it shows. I've been at all times of the day and I can verify this. The service is listless and I don't like having my credit card whisked away so don't do it. As another reviewer said, the burgers are completely unmemorably. I would just avoid and who cares whether it's cheap or expensive - it's just depressing. I think that's the best word to describe it. Depressing!
