We went for lunch at this restaurant in response to the special deal and loved the ambiance. It is so discreetly tucked away that one has the impression of entering a private club as a privileged member and the staff are charming and welcoming, addressing you by name. The food was beautifully cooked and served and of just the right proportions. The guinea fowl was magnificent. The coffee was also exceptionally good and generously served by the potful. I would give this place full marks but for the fact that I ordered a particular dessert and another one was served. When I pointed this out, the waiter was charming and immediately offered to replace it....but the wait for the replacement was rather long. Still.when it came, it was very impressive, both in quality and size! I'm grateful to London Eating for introducing us to this place, which we would never have stumbled across otherwise! A little gem of a restaurant!

My husband and myself visited the Dining Room as Dukes with two of our friends last week. The dining room is very pretty and we were given a comfortable and spacious table they window. We had the set meal which started off with a glass of champagne. I had the delicious Welsh Rarebit and my husband had the terrine which he declared amazing. We all had duck with rosti and red cabbage for main course which was a treat. Afterwards we shared two plates of cheese – plenty for four.

Service was very efficient and nice, value for money amazing. Definitely will be back.

This is a very nice low-key restaurant. Have been here a number of times and always a pleasure. Very good value, especially with the offers they usually have on. Simply don't understand the last review. They must have been very unlucky....

Recommended for Sunday lunch.

This was a huge disappointment. Friends had raved so we went.

The service was rude and indifferent. One had the impression that the staff truly could give a toss. It managed to make the rest of the evening a cipher.

If you like spending a lot of money to be attended to by a wait staff with attitude, then you will be happy here. We will never go back.
