One of the worst restaurants in Tooting. Avoid at all costs.

I've been to this restaurant on many occasions and have to say it serves up one one the best curries in London. The chicken/lamb or veg karahi is mouth watering. Try the fish or lamb chops for starters - they are also superb.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

had a party of 44 people on sat night only gave us two waiters for 44 people by the time they brought the curry out the rice was cold they forgot salad we asked for 7 mild curries and so they gave everyone mild so the 24 asian people had to ask for more chillies. have been using them for years and always been happy but i was very disapointed this time .we definetley needed at least 3 waiters .will not use them for a family party again i know they were busy downstaire but we booked this 9 months before so they should have been able to manage.so we had very mild curry cold rice no salad until the very end not pleased atall the elder of the two waiters was very good and apologised but the younger one wouldnt even smile.starter was great everyone enjoyed but the main meal was a big let down

The first time I discover Lahore it became like an addiction OH !!!!!!! that lamb curry. The place is basic but the food is excellent, its a quick turnover and its always crowded. I don't know what all the moaning is about.

Was certainly not impressed with this restaurant.
Staff were very unfriendly and did not even smile. The condiments that came with our starters were initially empty and we had to ask for them to be refilled. The pots they came in were filthy with all old dry mint sauce down the side of them.
I asked for my dish mild and just got chicken in an orange gravy, with no flavour at all.
May be ok as a cheap take away restaurant, but was not impressed to pay £30 for 2 with service and food this poor.

i wanted to take two friends to restaurant they said lets go to lahore karahi house, I sat reluctantly.
I have been here many times. It is only good for the quick 2 pound kebab roll. I agree with a reader this is over rated.
it is just a fast food resturant if you want cheap food and unfriendly restaurant. It is full always. I am pakistani and i am not impressed the fodo was bland. my colleague ordered the prawn dish and it was not nice.
I stuck to vegetabke Okra because i knew what the food was like. It is ok.
service was not anything to go by. I would avoid this and I do.

Cheap and cheerfuI. I had a lamb karahi and keema naan here this week and thought it was great. There are a lot of cheap curry houses in Tooting, and unfortunately the cheapness is often manifested in the quality of the food and service. This was not the case here - friendly staff, good food, low prices.
Didn't take much notice of atmosphere, which I think is a good thing. If the environment is conducive to conversation, then it's working.

Highly recommendable place to visit if you r really going to eat authentic indian food. they serve spicy food but if some one doesn't like spices too much then chicken tkka masala and chicken korma (i luv them with pilao rice) are there. mix grill i had yesterday was amazing. i am regular eater of Indian food but Lahore karahi is the real place to eat i must say. Prices are low, service is speedy and staff is very friendly. Don't be intimidated of its naked looks, always busy n queue ; simply seat yourself down and start ordering.

I disagree completely with the other negative comments I have read. Lahore serves absolutely delicious food and it's my favourite Indian restaurant in Tooting. The food is fresh and always hot and quick to be served. The people who work there are all very nice, and always treat me with respect because I am quite a frequent customer. The samosas are to die for and the curries are authentic and made with high quality meat. All in all, lahore is fabulous for a quick takeaway or a sit-down meal after a night out or for lunch. Its a very social place, and the atmosphere is always bright and cheery. The southern indian food is popular with the local asian community so I think that speaks for itself on the basis of quality.
