Unfortunately, as I discovered tonight when I went down to pick up some of their samosas, The Mobeen (Green St) has closed down and the building demolished. A real shame.... they still have a branch in Leyton I believe.

Probably the best desi restaurant in East London. The food is 100% Authentic Pakistani (note it is not an Indian restaurant despite the incorrect title) and absolutely delicious. The Lamb bhuna, chops, and karahi are ones to look out for. The price is very reasonable. For under £15, two people could get absolutely stuffed and not need to bother with the next meal of the day.

This restaurant is a little different than some other Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi ones you might get, ie, this food doesn't simply make your beer taste better.

Despite some of the comments below, I found no problem whatsoever with the service or the cleanliness. If people expect to be pampered by the staff, and have those fancy posh folded napkins inside your champagne glass then you best go to a pretentious and over-priced restaurant where you pay for the extras, not the food.

The food was served very quickly, normally under 5 minutes. A lot of families eat in this place and you never get roudy people eating here. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat genuine authentic Pakistani food and can appreciate it.

Food is consistently good and cheap, but , and this is a big one, the place could do with a really good steam clean.

We went to Mobeen Restaurant in Green Street, Forest Gate. We ordered Kebab rolls. This place was not very clean including the floors, the glass counters were all very dirty. I wanted to leave but finally our food was served. The kebab roll was served on a grey paper on a plate. When i looked underneath the paper, the plate was not very clean. I thought may be it was just mine, but even my husband's and the kids were the same. There were about six plates on the table, I checked each one of them, they were all dirty. I just could not eat my food. Also the salad was roughly chopped. We had to leave.Wat a mistake.Never again
