went here a long time ago for quick drink/bites. Quite like its atmosphere (laid-back?) and a variety of small dishes.

Staff are great along with the food but can get really overcrowded here some nights - Get there early to get a table or go another night. But guess the volumes of people speak very highly about the venue itself!!

I must be going to a different restaurant because I think this place is awful. Or maybe they can't handle large groups. I went last year and again this with a group of 10 people. It started badly when myself and two others ordered cocktails before the whole group had arrived. 20 minutes later I enquired as to where they were, to be told that the restaurant is very busy and they just haven't got round to making them yet!
I ordered the crab & avocado salad to start which was basically a plate of chicory with a dollop of mayonnaise and as much crab as you would find in a tiny claw and maybe 3 slivers of avocado. My neighbour's chicken & bacon salad had more avocado than mine. I don't like chicory so didn't get much of that.
I struggle to find something I like here because past experience told me that they don't cook things the way you ask for. So I had the crevettes starter as a main and was very happy with this as they were plump, juicy and very tasty. My neighbour's steak was not cooked medium rare as asked, and was very sinewy and fatty. Others steaks were also not cooked to order and the calves liver had to be sent back because it was so rare. Sides only arrived after we were halfway throught the mains.
Service isn't great here. Twice we got the wine bottle to pour drinks, only to be told that they would do that and when I tried to buy a drink from the bar separately, I wasn't allowed because I was at a table and had to wait for the waitress, who we didn't see for about 20 minutes.
This might be a nice place early in the day or there are only a couple of you but later on with a group and everything must go downhill. I'm sure there must be better restaurants in the area.

this really is a lovely setting, although it looks nothing like the website pictures. i assumes they are old, In reality its way way prettier and better romantic lighting and just a really good feel to it. The service was really friendly but the food was the absolute winner. The rib eye steak (15 pound including great chips and a sauce of choice) was absolutely the tastiest steak i have had in london. I am hoping this was not a one off as if they can repeat this flavour time after time it truly will be fab!!!
Go try it, it really did deliver.

This place was brilliant. We went for a pre-theatre dinner with noisy baby and grandparents which could have been a stretch too far. The waiters were exceptional in making us feel welcome and dealing with the chaos and mess of a 1 year old (not to mention the grandparents and parents!). It was perfect for everyone which could have been difficult in Soho.
I was very impressed. The food was good but the staff were exceptional and helped to make a very pleasant evening.

one of my favorite restaurants in London....good French food, one of the best fillet steaks in london, great frites, excellent mussels. all this is in the wonderful vibe and atmosphere of Old Compton Street. Just a shame they have a really poor beer menu!

We visited this cafe for lunch yesterday and were delighted with what we had. The cafe had a vibrant, friendly and relaxed feel, and the staff were very welcoming. The food and wine were fantastic. The set menu is an absolute bargain.
The cheeseburger was cooked exactly how I wanted it and was really good value.
For a fussy eater like me, there were lots of dishes on the menu I would have chosen. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be going back to sample some more.

I love a greasy spoon as much as the next guy...but the food was beyond greasy. Terrible. We had the croque monsieur, which was bread, grease, butter, grease, cheese and more grease. The eggs benedict smelled as if it had been prepared in an old frying pan, which had seen many greasy meals beforehand. The chicken club sandwich was a mess. It was terrible...won't ever go back.

An update (see below). I visited Thursday dinner 17th September
The “Ice Maiden” is gone!!! It might have been her night off but I hope she is gone. The lady that dealt with me was very pleasant. I had the steak tartare again and was very happy. The atmosphere is really good, still and I have no complaints.

Wandered in with some friends for lunch. We were in the mood for a good burger but the local burger joints were booked so just decided to head to Boheme. We were delighted to see they had burgers on their menu! Well, we had no idea what we were in for! Burger, seasoned and cooked to perfection, the cheese...(not sure what kind) was so flavourful and dripped down the burger brillantly. The bread, fresh baked parisian roll, the chips...skinny, crispy and perfectly cooked, the gerken was even one of the best I have had!
I eat a lot of burgers...so do my mates and we all agree this is the tops in London...hands down
