Stylish decor does not a meal make. The dishes was oily and tasteless, the service so-so and the price out of all proportion to the food served. Do yourself a favour and get the same at half-price at one of the McCurry's in Brick Lane.

I love this restaraunt! We eat out here once a month and have always received professional service...once you get to know the owners you get free drink or two as well!

I went there for my leaving do. The restaurant was mildly busy. There was a group of 10 of us. Service was good, they even gave us free popadoms. The meal was excellent better than the stuff at Brick lane.

For a flavourful Indian experience, with quality attentive staff, you can do no better than this restaurant under the 'Mile End' bridge. Lunchtime 'specials' are especially good value for money.

Went to the zeera Indian restaurant in mile end on Sunday to try out their buffet menu, with my fiancée, it was disappointing to say the least the waiters looked not interested once we said we are having the buffet, we had to Waite for a long period of time for food which was not in the buffet dish no explanation was offered as we kept going to help our self on to the table only to sit back without any food, when I asked the waiter for a fresh plate it was suggested we should use a dirty leftover plate for Maine course as he was not happy to offer us a fresh plate. When the food did arrive it was very average, also the selection was poor. And the service was very poor as the waiter had a very unapproachable attitude, my fiancée kept mentioning how uneasy she felt to enquire about how long the food was going to take, the service did improved when there was a new waiter on the scene.

I have experience of eating out in restaurant along with the experience of working in Indian and Chinese restaurant in my humble opinion this restaurant has nothing more then a good décor and pleasant to look from outside, definitely avoid their buffet Sunday!!.

Went to Zeera's on a Monday night, after just moving to the area, as it was recommended by a friend. It is one of the best Indians I have eaten in a long time. Very tasty food and the best peshwari naan I think I've ever had. We were impressed with the service, waiters were relaxed and friendly - not sure if maybe it has changed management or had a staff overhaul, reading some of the comments on here. We will definitely be back. Despite paying a little bit extra, it is a lovely restaurant - plush but not overly decadent decor, quick & friendly service and, most importantly, great, authentic Indian food.

the food was very nice, the service was not a healthy portion and they did fail to mention that certain things contained peanuts which did dissagree with my girlfriend but they did change it as they realised they were in the wrong and a few of the staff were not happy about working on the saturday and some plates were dropped rather than placed on the well furnished tables. its a little more expensive than your normal indian resturant and seems to be more of a " look at me, im in here and its modern and im cool" rather than the that actual food. the restuarant is very nice but seems to be more of a status ikon rather than about enjoying the foods of india.we came out feeling out of pocket and not completaly happy with the overall result. we will not return to here unless they drop there prices and improve the grumpy staff.

I love this restaurant. My boyfriend and i have been at least 20 times in the past couple of years and we have never had a bad meal. In fact the food has always been lovely, and the staff are always very polite and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who likes contemporary Indian food, and although the prices may be more than brick lane, it is definately worth it for the quality of food and nice surroundings.

I have dined at Zeera several times over the past couple of years and have to say that the recent reviews on here are not characteristic of this restaurant's food or service. This is the best indian restaurant in the area and the same staff have been there since my first visit and are extremely polite and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for great food and service.
