5 of us went to Planet Spice on Saturday 9th February 2008, I have not been for about a year, my party was late( we phoned to let them know we were lost) the restaraunt was full and buzzing great atmosphere when we walked in it was packed and it is not suprising the food is fabulous the meal I chose came with mashed potato it was to die for, I have never had mashed potato in an Indian Restaraunt before, try it here, the service and all the many waiters were realy nice and friendly. Thank you Planet Spice we had a lovely evening the food was superb as I had experienced on the four occassions I have been before, I hope I do not leave it to long before I come back, all of us enjoyed the whole experience of Planet Spice. We would not normally send in another review so quickly (see 3rd July) but, having visited a couple of other well known restaurants in the meantime, we took some friends to the Planet Spice last Friday to celebrate a special occasion. The food was once again outstanding and one of our friends thought that it was the best Indian food that she had ever tasted. The group differed with regard to the décor, the men thought it was a little cold whilst the women thought it was chic. The main point is that this is a local restaurant which consistantly outperforms better known London establishments. If you live in the area you should give it a try.

we thoroughly enjoyed our meal for 4. the food was freshly cooked and tasty without artificial colouring and nicely spiced. the waiters were very attentive without being overbearing. the restaurant ambiance was modern but definitely indian. very clean toilets. would definitely recommend this to our friends.

Having been refused Tuesday lunch at a restaurant in Bromley (the restaurant was open but the Chef was indisposed) we made an impromptu visit to an old favourite of ours, the Planet Spice at Addington. The restaurant was entirely empty but we were given a warm, friendly welcome and then left to enjoy our Cobra beers whilst choosing from the extensive menu. Both of our chosen starters were excellent but my wife’s ‘Char grilled breast of chicken with fenugreek, mace and cardamom’ was outstanding, one of the most delicious starters either of us could remember. For our main courses we had ‘Galina Curry, Masala chicken supreme, tempered with dry roasted spice with cumin pulao’ and Shank of Lamb with saffron rice. Both dishes were well presented, and the meats were tender, succulent and subtly flavoured. Notwithstanding the fact that an empty restaurant always lacks something in atmosphere we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will go back soon.

Great on Sundays - where they have added a buffet to their Brunch menu.

The restaurant is consistely good and the food is of the highest quality. It is a sister to the famous and well regarded Babur Brasserie in the Forest Hill area!

Have been many times and the staff have got to know us - the service has therefore been excellent!

I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high quality Asian food.

Went to this restaurant last Saturday to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived the waiters started to rush us to order. We didn't finish our starter before they started shoving the main courses on the table!! When we had finished our main the manager came over to ask us to hurry up and leave the restaurant as they had two sittings. We had only been there an hour and a half!! We still had 2 1/2 bottles of wine on the table, we hadn't even ordered our dessert or coffee. The manager was extremely rude and did not apologise or try to ease the situation. To be honest the food was pretty bland and a bit overpriced for what you got!

planet spice!sounds good!but the food tastes even much sumptuous as its name.nice restaurant in the corner of a village.well i visit this rest with my friends and my family atleast once ina couple of months.

we had visitors from wales a couple of weeks back and had dined out on a friday evening.and the experience was not too bad.something diff from other indian restaurant.we had our starters mains n desserts as well with lot of wine!!!!!!!even though service was not that commendable but the food was gorgeous execpt our mai course.i dont know why but the quality of their main curry dishes has really gone down over a couple of months n i think the owners should concentrate on this.but i must say that thier few starters and desserts are the best in england so far and are always cosistent especially their SPICY CRAB CAKE it tastes the same every time u try it has got the same coconut and lemony flavour perfect for a friday evening.and not to forget they have got some lovely beggars purse a must try.i had it last month n were great.i am a food critic and have tried hundreds of indian restaurants but i think planet spice serves the best TANDOORI PINEAPPLE in the entire uk.its so well presented perfectly cooked perfect flavours and recipes same great taste so delicious and goes with an xcellent combination of berry sauce n vanilla ice cream.i must say hats off to the chef who prepares it!its a must must try.

anyways enough for now letz see how they treat us the next time.but it is for sure my favourite rerstaurant.bye

What can I say! This has become a restaurant we use for any occasion, even down to booking the place out for our wedding reception!

The food is always to the highest quality, the atmosphere excellent, and I don't think we've ever been there when it's empty (other than being the last one's out!). The management and staffare always polite and receptive.

Thoroughly recommended!

My husband and I visited Planet Spice on Saturday evening and found that we received an excellent meal and the service was very reliable and we felt that we were made to feel very welcome.

We have been to Planet Spice before and we were amazed to find that it was still to a very high standard. I was pleased to say that we both enjoyed our meal as much as the last time we went and would highly recommend Planet Spice to anyone who enjoys a good curry.
