The Rotisserie

I have been here twice now. The portions are very generous, starters, mains and puddings (melt in the mouth cheesecake) were all consistently good, and there is a varied wine menu. W Hampstead badly needed a place that does simple grilled meats well, and now it has it.
Service was friendly without being too in-your-face.
Perhaps the best testament is that a guest visitor from the US told me this is the only place in London where he had had a good meal that actually filled him up.
If I had to have one quibble, it is the slightly dodgy and somewhat inappropriate choice of music they play there (Simply Red's "Stars" CD; George Benson "Let Me Love you one last time", etc), played at somewhat intrusive volumes. Sort out the music and it is a great local place for a good meal.
