I have been going to this restaurant for almost 16 years and have found the food to be authentic, delicious and consistent. I travel from South London on average once a month and have enjoyed the meals so much that if i do not go there once a month a get "withdrawal symptoms"! A number of my friends have similar opinion about the place.

I first started coming to this restaurant in 1996, it was one of the best restaurants . The food was simply delicious. I went back after a ten year break, quite simply I live very far away and went to Wembley for a football match. It was the most disgusting unedible ever. It was so oily and full of explosive chillis. we couldn't eat the food and had to throw it away. What a shame, at one stage it was easily one of the best in london.

My family is vegetarian and I am the only non-veg in the family and trust me we have been coming here from last 10 years and the food is just great it's not a joke to come from Richmond to Wembley every week but we just can't help it. I adore Seekh Kebabs, Lamb Chops and Butter Chicken and I am not at all reluctant to try something else. I have always ordered one new dish from the menu and taste have never disappointed me. My vegetarian family enjoys their Karahi karella, Karahi Egg Curry, Tarka Daal and Saag Paneer. Moreover, my son comes here from Edgware and we come here from Richmond so, this is our good dining and family reunion place. Their staff is also very polite and cheerful. What more you want it's a win-win situation!!!!

I used to dine with my girlfriend at this restaurant who is now my wife. We have been coming here from last 10 years the taste of their recipes have not changed a bit. Now I have a little baby girl who is only two and nobody would believe it but she adores their spinach and karahi chicken. I do't know what these guys put in their dishes but the taste doesn't let you go anywhere else in London. I can not recommend enough ...This place is serious Punjabi dining.

I travel from South London to attend events at Wembley Stadium I can simply take Jubliee Line to get off Wembley Park for Wembley Stadium but that's my only chance to eat at Karahi King Restaurant. It take me 15 mins extra to get to North Wembley Station and there you go this restaurant has got 10 on 10 rating from me for it's divine food.
I tried mixed grill prepared by one of the girl's in the scarf and in the main course I had Karahi Methi Chicken with Peshwari Naan. I know the combination sweet and savoury is a little odd but trust me it goes really well. Since then I have not tried any other dish @ this restaurant, either consider me boring or I don't get enough of it. It has to be same every time I walk in. The staffs are very polite and sometimes not only me but most of the customers get shocked because they know what you want to order. It may be the case of same orders from the same customer. According to staffs around 90% of the orders they know by heart. It may be their love and respect for their customers or may be what you try once you get hooked on it. I honestly wouldn't like to try any other Indian Restaurant as who likes to spoil their taste buds if they are used to good food !

Found myself in North Wembley on a Sunday afternoon, and happened to notice Karahi King. Now I have to tell you, I've been going off Indian food of late - it seems too much of a muchness, which nothing standing out as superp of different. Well, my faith has been restored by this place. Didn't try starters, apart from poppadums, and went straight for a main cource - mushroom rice and butter chicken. From the first bite I knew I was in for something both different and lovely. The rice was perfectly cooked, with the mushrooms having real flavour. But the butter chicken was, quite simply, just about the best curry I've had in years; packed full of flavours, and despite the medium spicyness (they make a point of asking if you want you dish mild-medium-hot) these flavours were subtle and testy. Finished with a nice pistacchio kulfi. All this, with a beer, came to a very attractive £15.80. Atmosphere was friendly and service prompt. I guess (and from looking the place up on the Net) this place gets really busy at certain times, and apparently Mondays and Tuesdays are better to go to get in. This is my Indian restaurant of choice and will certainly be going back, and soon !

My father has been going to this place for 20 years and we go nearly every week without fail.
The seehk kebabs with onions have the best flavour and spices, you cannot wish for more. Another favourite is the masala mogo, it's cripy, slightly spicy and has a nice garlic-flavour.
We always order two crispy rotis (and they will make them crispy if you ask) alongside the Karahi Chicken Tikka and Karahi Corn. The karahi dishes are not to be missed! The blend of flavours and the sauce is delicious and you will not taste anything nearly as good! Sometimes we ask for less oil, and they normally do it, but the fact is, it's taste great.
As for the atmosphere, it depends what time you go. Sometimes it's nice and quiet but then later it gets packed. I have found the best time to go with also the best food is a Monday or Tuesday evening.
Everyone we take there loves it! I simply can't get enough of it.

When we walked in and saw the cafe like decor - our hearts sank, a gentleman who was leaving said to us - this is the best Indian Resturant in London, so we gave it ago. We were not disappointed the food was by far the best Indian any of us have ever had - and believe me we enjoy our curries. Everything was cooked to order and extremely fresh ingredients used, and cooked to your liking mild/medium/hot. The food tasted authentic - we could not find fault with any of it. 10/10
The staff were friendly and attentive but not 'in your face', in fact it felt like a bit of a family affair.
They only sell beer, so if you want wine you need to BYO, (There is an off licence 4 shops away). They do not charge corkage either!
We will definately return - I just wish we lived closer, so for now we will have to put up with our local with its anglicised dishes.

I went to kharai king(North Wembley) after 3 years with my friend, we had the following.
1. Kharai lamb. 2. Four pharatas. 3. One Bhendi bhaji. 4. lamb chops(starters) 5. Chiken Wings(starters) 6. Two pans 7. Two ras malai's
We paid a total of 37 pounds, but dint think it was worth it. The starters were burnt, tasted good, but it had that burnt feeling about it.
Pharatas, they tatsted more like dried tortilas. The kharai lamb and bhendi bhaji was tasty, but very oily.
I wish we had not ordered the ras malai's. Pan was ok.
Overall we felt we paid more for having dinner at an ordinery cafe restaurant...
Definately wont go there again..,,

After years of going to this place (and that says something) I am pleased to say the food remains as fresh as ever. If you are into 'Karahi' dishes, this is perhaps the best you can get. The atmosphere is noisy hustling and bustling which is what I like, but this may not be to everyone's liking.
Karahi dishes are meant to be oily and I take exception to the other two novice reviewers who expected a Karahi dish to be non-oily. It's like having baked fish and chips instead of fried.
Prices have remained steady although the increases have been more than the rate of inflation over the years.
All in all, an excellent Karahi restaurant, if it is the food you are after. For ambience please look elsehwere.
