It was the first time I visited this place and from now on you will find me there every few weeks! The food was tasty and portions were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was electric.

Highly recommend.

Really really liked this place. Great tasty food as very very reasonable prices. The barbecue is the way to go. The marinaded beef fillet in particular. Tender and delicious. A really nice find. I will be back soon

Satisfactory for the price.

The place was busy for dinner. Not as good as the reviews have led me to believe. Food is average, but not bad for a local. It's competition in Charlotte Street and next to Holborn tube have a huge edge in terms of food quality, but then again the competition is also much more expensive.

Unexpected gem. The food is very authentic and the pricings are reasonable. The starter Bindaedduck was of a bit small portion for price but the way it was cooked was authentic. Kimchichigae and Dolsot Bibimbup were very decent. The waitress was very helpful and unassuming, in a sense that appetizer or drinks were not imposed on us - which we did order anyway. Kimchi side was in the menu as a chargable item but provided to us for free, which is a plus for Korean nationals.

What I liked most about this restaurant was that they did not try to oversweeten foods or come up with ridiculous, nationalityless menu just to allure first timers. This really appealed to me, who grew up in Korea. I am not sure whether this is the reason why this restaurant had much less customers than the nearby sister restaurant Taro(mind you, Japanese restaurants run by Japanese is not as many as you think!).

Anyway, definitely would come again and recommend to friends.

This is a great traditional Korean restaurant! I am a big fan of Korean food(usued to eat it once a week back in Sweden) and have been looking hard around town to find a good place. So far I have been recomended 6 good Korean restaurants in Soho and in Mayfair and none of them came close to Seoul which was a suprise with Seoul being situated on not so charming Finchley Road. The company of three had: the Kimchi Chigae soup and two differnet versions of Bimbimbab and the food was just delicious: so fresh, intriguing tastes and very savoury. Service was attentive and friendly and many customers were chatting away over a Korean barbeque( I will have to try that next time). I have finally found my restaurant and will be back many many more times and recomend anyone else with a liking in Koreran food to do the same, and yes, it is worth the trip up to Finchley Road!

Friday, September 09, 2011 - Can't say that cooking was poor, since it was yours truly controlling the timing and there's something strangely therapeutic about watching sizzling meat cook over a Korean BBQ. The marinated meats were nothing spectacular, carrying a sweet undertones to it, but it got the job done. Portions were incredibly generous. For an average of 4 pounds per portion, it is mind-boggling how they are cutting a profit from this. I enjoyed the meat feast thoroughly... All in all, I thought it was a decent meal that won't break any wallets, and I think it really is worth a visit if you so happen to wander into Swiss Cottage.
