Went here on Halloween for a curry with 10 people.
The service was excellent and friendly staff. Got to say I think it was the best curry I've had in London and I have lived here 10 years.
I have read people's comments about the size of the portions being small. They are an average size. But why would you want huge portions if it tasted rubbish?
Will be definitely eating here again.

Our favourite place to get a mid-week delivery. The lamb methi is delicious, and the saag aloo and mutter paneer are great, full of fresh veg and bursting with flavour. Very reasonable. I've never eaten in the restaurant itself, but the manner of the people who take our order over the phone is courteous and warm. Definitely recommend.

Just got back from my first meal at Vijaya Krishna. It's just around the corner from me and I can't believe I waited this long to try it. Every dish was really good, best curry I've had in Tooting for a long time. Highlights were the lamb green masala (unusual taste but really really good), spicy tomato curry, masala dosai. Enjoy!!

For the take-away - Food arrived late and cold with a completely different price tag on it to the one on the menu. When questioned, the man said that this was their new menu and take it or leave it, we'd have to pay either way. Hmmm...
Portions were surprisingly small - 3 pieces of chicken in their dansak,?! Dishes were surprisingly watery and had half a slice of onion in them to complement the flavour. The rice was undercooked and overloaded with random unwanted spices.
AVOID! Make your own instead, much more rewarding

One of mine and my partners favourite places to eat. Were big fans of indian food anyway, so I think that helps. I'm not particularly adventurous with my food, but they cater to all tastes, i usually get a Korma, or here they have a butter chicken to die for. Waiters could be more efficient but overall its a great place.

The customers who have eaten here are yet to sample good food in Tooting. I thought the food was ordinary, the portions were exceptionally smaller that I have seen in any restaurants, this is perhaps their trick in making you order more items. The food is also quite bland for Indian restaurant, if you prefer hot food, I suggest you advice the staff beforehand.

Having sampled most restaurants in Tooting and a great many in Southern India, i have to give Vijaya Krisha the best ever dosa award - light, crispy filled with spiced potato and with wonderfully moorish coconut chutneys. Great, thin chappatis too, fat crumbly, delicious parathas. And do try the spinach vadai with its wonderful crunchy split pea texture.
The regular waiters are charming, helpful, quick to provide take out containers if the generous helpings defeat you although at busy times they may be a bit over-stretched. The wine list is quite varied and good quality for a local Indian. The veg excels but the meat dishes are good too. It is a pity that in recent months the food isn't quite as spicey as it once was [ a new chef?] and that some non-authentic additions have been added to appease English guests in the form of the ubquitous chicken tikka masala. I also lament the passing of gulab jamun from the small dessert menu but mango kulfi will do!
The ambiance is nice with linen table cloths and napkins, big wine glasses, Kerelan masks and paintings [ including the strangely knowing child breast feeding which i like!] It is pricier than the bring your own wine canteen style restaurants along Tooting High Road but much more relaxing. I also had the bonus of a wedding invitation from one of the staff and an offer of cricket tickets when I went to Cochin - beat that for personal customer care!

Out of the many Indian restaurants in Tooting, Vijaya Krishna is certainly one of the best. The food varies between good and excellent, depending on the chef, but is always worth the money spent. The restaurant is nothing special and the service charge can prove irritating for students, but that doesn't stop me going! Food is prepared fast and well. Give it a go!

Simply the best Indian restaurant in Tooting. Everyone I have taken has agreed. Dishes are of superior quality (including the fish dishes which can be dodgy in curry houses) and there's a great selection of different, "non-anglicised" dishes on the menu.
Highly recommended.

Nothing wrong with this place, the food just lacks a certain vibrancy and zing, the bitterness and curry leaves are turned back whilst sweetness is turned up. Food is fine but not the best Keralan in Tooting, which makes it a long way off the best in London.
