I visited the Prince of Ceylon Restaurant with my friends and family recently and as a UK Sri Lankan from the hotel industry insistent on high standards I was really pleased to see that the menu is much improved as is the decor and ambience under new management . The food is very authentic Sri Lankan cuisine using many ingredients flown from Sri Lanka and cooked in regional styles with authentic ingredients and spices. The Hoppers were a particular success and the lamb curry and aubergine preparations my personal favourites. The new Chef has introduced some new mouth watering delicasies and the food presentation has also much improved. As it was my Father's Birthday the restaurant had organised a cake and Randika the Chef played Happy Birthday on the piano . Infact the evening was particularly memorable and enjoyable as the Chef who is also a talented pianist played the piano beautifully. All in all a great night out at a very reasonable price I highly recommend it !
