Prince of Ceylon

We had an evening buffet meal in this resturant one of weekend of early this month with live music.Decor and atmosphere was pleasant and fantastic.Been many times years ago,but never been recently,after rebuild.However i was so unhappy because most of the food was overcooked and not like fresh.I have noticed few of currys are different colour and oily. but hoppers are not bad. when waiting for our food the cooking/kichen staff was eating and drinking and serving themself prior to us.My girl friend would not eat her buffut because the chicken curry tasted like rubber and not fresh.Very nice restaurant but shame..food.Price was not bad if any selections there. anyway if they have proper

chef hope they can do much more...to srilankan foods.

I have never writen a review,but i am going out of my way to warn you about this restaurant.

Great food took my boyfirend here and he really liked it and so did I would recomend. Try the Hoppers with Ambulthial very nice. mmmmm Hoppers!

Prince of Ceylon provides a variety of very tasty Sri Lankan food. Their new touch to the weekday buffet is a good move. My husband and I have been visiting this place for years, as we love their cooking. The management seem to have changed and the change has brought in some good ideas e.g. the colourful menu with pictures helps with the ordering, especially for non Sri Lankan diners.

I am disagree with this review, except toilet papers, every thing else is excellent,

friendly atmosphere and excellent food we go for that new style of buffet. with which warm fresh unlimited hoppers, and in the end choice of deserts, we go there very often, this restaurant has one of the the best atmosphere, compare to other Sri Lankan restaurants accept sekara, we highly recomend this restaurant.

A week before i went to Prince of Ceylon in hendon with my very close friend who was not sri lankan,but my friend few times been sri lanka,also he loved srilankan foods. Decor was very nice, it was not like before prince of ceylon.toilets are brand new.but there wasn't toilet papers.i came down from upstairs but there was no one to ask papers.i saw i waiter taking order nearby table.also 15-20 custermers waiting there.on that day the menu mentioned about buffet. but person who serve us bring a few small dishes and rice.but i feel food was not fresh,and not very good.even my english friend wasn't happy that buffet system.but waiter charged GBP9.50 each.not value of money.

Ate here a few times and have been very pleased on every occasion. The food is superb and the decor is crisp and refreshing. If only you had a branch in South London, although it is worth the trek up to Hendon! Keep it up!

I am so happy to see quality sri lankan restaurant in london.food,service and everything is good.but No one knows this open, because they are not advertising and open during the day time.and also phone number in the net are wrong,they need good web site. Anyway I can say it is a best place to eat out in london.

made a day out at prince of ceylon on the mother's day with the family. the food was excellent. the live music made a good atmosphere. missed the piano music. it's really worth the money.
