Kombu Restaurant and Bar

Kombu has a great variety of fresh sushi and excellent mix of cocktails. My ex and I are generally quite fussy eaters and to come across a restaurant that meet our standards is saying something. Of all the times I have dined with my ex, I have never seen him eat salmon sashimi because he is quite particularly about the freshness of fish. I was shocked to find that he volunteered to take one piece of my salmon sashimi and another at Kombu. He also paid his compliments to the seabass which he nodded with approval that it was also fresh.

The other sushi, including scallops, eel (unagi) and soft shell crab are my usual favourites and at Kombu my appetite is definitely satisfied. Knowing that the chef is japanese is reassuring. The rice of the sushi is loosely wrapped which didn't keep the sushi as tightly compressed, however, the flavour makes up for it.
