really nice food, nothing flashy but our food (i had duck my girlfriend had lamb) was really well cooked and very tasty. We went at about 9 on a saturday night and there were only 2 other couples in the place which we found strange as we both left very satisfied and will definitely go back again....

This place is less bar and more restaurant, I am not sure I would feel comfortable just coming in for a beer, and the beer selection is fairly poor, not even one real ale.
I enjoyed my steak and wine but something about the environment was not relaxing and welcoming.

I've been here 3 times and every time have had a great meal. Its got a nice atmosphere - bustly but not too hectic. Staff are friendly and its good value for money. They do a good job of fitting you in if you haventt booked. Popular pre-theatre place so clers out a bit later on. Great fish selection and one of the few places that serves John Dory!

I have been to this Restaurant a few times and it has a simply perfect private function room. Absolutely ideal for Birthday Parties. I feel so lucky to have found a Restaurant next to Waterloo Station that has a great Private Room. david was incredibly helpful with our booking and mario and all the staff were so friendly and professional. Love a restaurant which give groups a proper menu selection and we were treated better than any other restaurant that ive been to as a group

Can't believe that my company selected this place for our Christmas lunch, it is just too low-key. The food is not bad, but just not the right place for big celebrations.

I have been a regular diner at this restaurant for around a couple of years, less so recently as I am not in the area so much, but I still pop once a month or so. The best thing about this place is the menu - it's not huge, but the dishes have been picked so thoughfully that each time I go in there seem to be four or five dishes for both starter and main that I just can't decide between. I don't know why this 'problem' is such a rarity in restaurants, but I can't think of anywhere else it happens!
The food is always excellent, the steak is particularly recommended (but then so is the smoked haddock, the fishcakes, the lamb shank, etc, etc...!), but sadly my favourite beef wellington no longer makes an appearance (please bring it back, along with the prawns you used to have as a starter!).
Service is great (although as a regular service is always going to be pretty friendly whichever restaurant you go to), and dishes are resonably priced (although in line with the area).
Much more than just a pre-theatre eatery, I rate this as one of the best restaurants in the local area.

I have eaten in this restaurant twice in the last couple of months, and the food was good, well presented and quite interesting dishes. I thought the menu was rather limited though, not many choices for any of the courses. Like a previous reviewer, I thought the staff didn't seem very happy and weren't at all friendly, but the service was efficient. Little in the way of atmosphere, and the exterior could do with brightening up. It was a bit pricey but it is very centrally situated, and overall I thought it was reasonable value for money.

My partner and I went here last Saturday. It’s a really nice, clean space but none of the staff seemed particularly happy to be there. The food was pretty good and we had a decent bottle of wine, but that and two courses each came to over £60 which we thought was too expensive for the type of service and food they are providing.

On St Valentines evening, I was looking for a pre-theatre dinner for two near the Old Vic. I googled and found this place, and we had an early meal at 6.30.
Just fab, from start to finish. Good buzz with lots of theatre-goers doing the same as us, good choice on the menu .... and even when I said I wanted something that wasn't on it (steak and chips) the polite, smiling waiter (manager?) sorted it out for me with the chef.
Perfect place to eat before going to the Old Vic., and absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

This is a great Waterloo Restaurant. Coming from Canary Wharf, I have two choices as I get off the Jubilee Line. Turn left after the escalators and get something to eat and drink at the Waterloo Bar and Kitchen or turn right and get on another train to Wimbledon.
Unfortunately for Bank Account and Liver, I turn left too much. It is a lovely down to earth restaurant that is welcoming and friendly to all. Good Food + Good Drink
Well Done!
