your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
We visited Hidden Treasure using a Groupon voucher that stated our meal the 'Seafood Platter With Lobster, Plus Liqueur For Two People usually £118 had been discounted to £35. This is obviously a bit of a scam since the meal we had although relatively nice was certainly not worth £118. The portion was small and the service not particularly courteous. The bottle of Rose wine (only one on the menu) was way over priced at £24.50 and they tried to fob us off with limoncello which is obviously not a proper dessert wine and frequently given away free with the bill. They also added a 12.5% service charge which they claim is 'compulsory' - surely service is always an optional charge depending on the customer's satisfaction with the quality of the meal and service . When we questioned the bill the waitress became unreasonably aggressive saying we would not be allowed to eat there again which is out of order when we'd paid the bill which came over £75. To sum up the food was overpriced and the service was totally unacceptable. The customer has a right to complain and should never leave the restaurant not only feeling ripped off but also suffering abuse from the waitress!
