This is one of the most enjoyable and authentic experiences a person could have in north London. The choice of food caters to all tastes and the atmosphere is fantastic. The supermarket is an added bonus with its huge array of oriental goodies. Why Brent council want to close it down is beyond me.It is a local institution!

Oriental City Food Court is fantastic, a really good place to eat, meet and be part of. It's been there since the ol' Yaohan Plaza days and keeps on going. The people have come and go, but the atmosphere and prices have remained constantly good. Just about everyone of any age, race, gender come to eat here. If you're seeking an oriental dish, you'll certainly find it
here - from your noodles to dim-sum, duck to a spicy curry.
Unfortunately Oriental City is due to close down for several years due to refurbishment and take-over from a large company. The future of the food court and whether it'll be included is uncertain...

Fantastic place to eat. I go at least 3 to 4 times a month. Value for money and plenty of choices to choose from for food and drinks...

Have eaten in the city for many occasions a celebration, a smack, Lunch etc and for most of the times have been impressed with the value for money, you do have to choose wisely and it helps if you have been to a couple of these countries first. It's impressive to take visitors from other counties.

in reply to the poster who posted on august 30 2006...
i'd say quite easily! Indeed theres a lot of different stalls and styles of cuisines on offer..but a lot of it isn't very traditional, and .. well when i ordered pork belly with rice from the vietnamese styled stall.. i didn't expect to get a hairy piece of meat with it ..
....however, there are a few stalls in there which do deserve a mentioning.. the thai stall with the strawberry bliss drink is very very nice.. i question the authenticity of it.. but either way authentic or not its still nice..so highly reccomended.. and so are all the desserts they sell at that stall randomly nmed stuffed tofu in chinese writing.
..sadly having read the news etc lately, the place looks like its going to be knocked down soon(?)

How can you not like this place? It has so many food stalls to choose from, I can honestly spend a whole afternoon just day dreaming about the food on offer. I just wish there were more places like this in London!

We live in Swindon, but going to oriental city is like going back home (Indonesia)without a long plane journey. Though I must say food quality will never be the same but still acceptable. We go there quite frequent, it is like a treat. My favourite dish would be char kwe tiao(seafood fried ricenoodle), It was not there few days ago. Next time i must try to eat the korean on the side, hidden so i missed it each time. The menu looked appetising, plus korean foodstalls are very hard to find. Though not wellknown I think Korean has an exquisite cuisine.

I visited Oriental City for the first time yesterday. We ate in the Food Court, I had to wait about 25 minutes for my food and today I am at home sick with some kind of food poisoning. The person I was with damaged his muffler in the car park, very high bumps in there. will never go again!!

I probably go to Oriental City's food court once every two weeks. Its great value for money and find it better than some so called top oriental restaurants around in London. The Chinese roasts are great, and the Korean stall is good. It is all pictured nicely on each stall with a good description. The Vietnamese fruit blenders are also a must.
