One of the best restaurants in Hendon. I had a great meal there with my friend. Lovely service and the new management is very good. Very good food and very good prices. Lovely atmosphere.

Consistently tasty food - I'm a little puzzled by the comments on service and welcome below. I've always found the management and waitresses very friendly, I've never really noticed the service as being especially good or bad - although it is guaranteed that you won't be served by somone is who is especially fluent in English! Always best to order any of the shwarma kebabs in Iraqi bread! Reasonable prices insofar as Kosher places go - especially compared to the White House down the road. Worth a visit.

There is no doubt the food is excellent, the hungarian goulash is my favourite. The only problem with Sami's is the stone cold welcome from the management, it's the most unwelcoming restaurant in NW London. Stick to take-away, pre order over the phone if you can and you won't be disappointed with a quick in and out of the restaurant.

A real disappointment after my last (very enjoyable) visit. Language problems meant that the member of our party who had not ordered a starter was served his main course before the rest of us even received our starters. We returned it, requesting that it be served with the other main courses - which it duly was, stone cold. We asked for a fresh serving but the same plate was returned with what was now luke-warm, overcooked food.

I visited the restaurant with my girlfriend and a best friend last night. Although there were some paintings on the wall the decor was quite plain. It was a cold evening but there was no need to worry about that in the restaurant as it was extremely hot, probably due to the kitchen that is open plan to the seating area. The menus had various scenes of Israel, that I found was a nice touch. The menu was varied and had a good variety of dishes. For main course I ordered the Hungarian Goulash with rice. It was full of flavour and very tasty. Finishing off with a cup of coffee was a nice way to end the meal. Just be aware that the restaurant does not have any non dairy (parev) for tea or coffee so both will be black. I would say that the restaurant is well worth a visit, although in my opinion more of a lunch time venue rather than a night out for an evening meal.

Fabulous food, excellent, friendly service and very good value. I cannot understand why this place is not busier - it deserves to be. Try the Iraqi pitta bread - delicious!
