Not the best place for Italian. Service is terrible and food over-priced. Would not go again nor would I recommend it.

My girlfriend and I have been eating here frequently (at least twice a month) since moving to Marylebone in September 2007. Contrary to the rather odd review below, we've found the quality of the food to be uniformly excellent - regardless of who is at the oven - the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, and the service efficient.
Admittedly, there are cheaper italian restaurants around, but I've never felt short-changed; the wine list, particularly, has some excellent options at around £25-a-bottle where many a more cynical restaurateur would charge £30+.
Altogether highly recommended.

This is the best pizza in London, but only when there is Giulio (one of the business partners) at the oven!
Be careful and walk out of the restaurant if Giulio is off!
When you find a good pizza in London you do not mind paying £11.50 for a Bufala, but if the pizza is not nice, then it is a rip off, considering also that the restaurant is definetely lacking in atmosfere

Visited here for the first time last night. Starters were superb: grilled calamari was possibly the best I’ve had, perfectly fresh and cooked to perfection. Carpaccio of beef was also top-notch. My main of risotto with sausage was disappointing though – nice favour but the rice was grainy and undercooked, the whole lot sitting in a slightly oily residue from the sausage.. Tagliatelle with tartufo nero was good (as £21!)
Service from our waiter was very attentive and friendly, but the maitre ‘d /owner (?) was too busy fawning over a table of regulars (who spent the evening pontificating loudly on their wine choices – “I can taste the Sangiovese in this one..” etc.) to bring us the second bottle of water we asked for. No big deal, but failing to make even a token apology on realising the slip up is a bit cheeky when your customers are paying £100 for two inc. service.
Room for improvement then, but based on the quality of those starters I’ll be back.

I went to Giusto because of the rave reviews of the pizza, but found a serious Italian restaurant. Short menu, high quality Italian food like you'd find in Italy (where I lived for two years). Today's special was wild mushrooms, which we were offered pretty much any way we wanted them - on pasta, in risotto, or - as I chose - with the tender slices of steak usually served with a balsamic reduction. Not cheap - a three course meal for two with coffee, water, wine and (almost too attentive - not necessary to refill wine and water glasses every five minutes - friendly) service runs between £70 and £100, but if you appreciate good Italian food you'll feel you've had great value for your money by London standards. No tablecloths, just generous linen napkins, looks more like a pizzeria than an upmarket restaurant. House cabernet sauvignon good value by the glass, half litre or bottle.
