B&K Salt Beef Bar

While visiting England from the U.S. dear friends took me to the B&K for dinner never had corned beef like that, was melt in your mouth to die for FANTASTIC!!!!!!!. Never had the likes of it here in the U.S. My children order steaks which were very very tender and flavorful, but when they tasted mine wished they had ordered the Corned Beef. The appetizer of chopped herring was also very good. Being of Belgian decent I pride myself in knowing good herring. My Dad used pickle and cream sauce his own. B&K's was closest I've had to his. The only bad thing I can say about the B&K is ITS TO FAR FROM ME!!!! Im in Indiana

i have known michael for over 30 years and have been eating in his restsaurant for as long as i can remmeber.that should say it all. the portions are as big as mikes chest ,plenty to grab hold of and the price is still to this day very very reasonable.

whether you are eating in or going out if you havent ried b andk give it a go and i guarantee youll go back again and again.

Don't be put off by the decor, this is one of the best restaurants in London.

The portions are huge, the atmosphere is great, the prices very reasonable, the owners are fun and you can BYO.

And the food is delicious!

It is without doubt my favourite restaurant in the UK! My wife and I just love the Chicken Soup, the Turkey and those Fish Balls really are just a little piece of heaven! Service is superb and love the little cosy atmosphere. They also catered for my Barmitzvah some 14 years ago and it remains to this day some of the best food I have tasted at a Simcha!

Just wanted to say how much iv enjoyed eating at your establishment over the years. The fish balls over the counter are little pieces of heaven + of course the soup and roast beef completes the perfect package...

Its been a pleasure coming to see Jon and Mike over the years, they make my friends and i very welcome and have always created a superb atmosphere.

B&K is every bit as good as Schwartz's in Montreal & Carngie Deli in NYC. We visit family every year in London and the first & last things we do is to see Michael & John in Edgeware. They always remember us and recall exactly what we like, how we like it and give us extra samples. They even keep regular mustard on hand now for my wife who can't appreciate "English" mustard.

We are heading back on November 1st and on arrival the 2nd, will make our way directly there ....mouth watering as I write this.

Everything is home made, The salt beef is fab, turkey and tongue super, fries yummy, cucumbers ummmmmm, soup, like Grandmas. Need I say more.

Thanx guys for making us feel like family.

i ate at B&K last week and have eaten there before. The food is very exellent and the service was even better, the people are friendly and they are not afraid to make sure your meal is satisfactory.

overall i would reccomend B&K to anyone that may want to try salt beef or any other greek dishes.
