i went to arirang lst week. The price was good and food was excellent especially the barbecue on the table! They also gave us free side dishes. The problem was the waitresses couldn't speak English very well but i understand them beacause they work here to study English.I'm definately coming back!

Went here with a friend last week to introduce him to Korean food as I spent the last year working in Korea.

It was very good and very authentic and I would highly recommend it.

My only complaint was that they didn't show customers how a barbecue meal is properly eaten in Korea. It involves putting the barbecued meat inside a lettuce leaf along with garlic, chilli and bean sauce. When I requested these they duly provided them, however for those not familiar with Korean food it's a shame nobody shows the customers how barbecued meat is authentically eaten. Even a three step picture diagram would be helpful.

Oh, and the soju was 12 quid!!! In Korea it costs no more than five dollars in a restaurant.

We walked in here randomly, Saturday lunchtime, and were amazed by the quality and quantity of the food. The lunch menu was extremely good value starting for only £7 p/p (main dish, rice, soup, salad and fresh orange for dessert) and the service was great. Varied lunch menu, ranging from Korean dishes to sushi (was impressed by the sushi too!). Will definitely return again, maybe for dinner next time!

Have eaten here and the food and service was great. I think when dining in korean/asian restaurants the customer has to be aware of the different cultures in dining. For example the last comment about wine not being poured, well I can tell you that it is not korean culture for the waiters to pour you wine. Also 'kimchi tastes the same anywhere' this is a completely naive and ignorant comment to make. Kimchi comes in many different varities and its taste changes throughout the year. There is a big difference between good and bad kimchi. Also Kimchi is a very important part of korean culture so making such a silly comment is very dis-respectful. I would recommend that if customers want an western dining experience they should go to a western restaurant, but if you want something a little different including the service then perhaps be a little daring and try an asian restaurant.
