You Me Korean Restaurant

I must say, the food here is stunning. I have been here countless times and I expect myself to go there more and more in the future. I was never fond of Korean food until I came here, the food are visually appealing and the tastes match up to that equally. I would definitely recommend this place. Although the service may not be as good as it could be, the splendid food brings me back.

We loved the food. It was very authentic Korean food. The staff were quick to serve us although a little cold. The price was cheap and the decor very nice and cosy. One of the best Koreans in London.

What a disappointment! Where do I start? It was 7 of us. We initially wanted to go to its nearby restaurant called Yeon-Ji (which my husband and I regularly visit and wanted to bring our friends there) but we forgot to book a table and it was full. o we walked down further looking for alternative and we went to You-Me.

We went in around 7.30pm and ordered about 15mins later. After we went in, there were about 4 tables came after us (3 tables Korean, 1 table English). We ordered 4 starters to share and each main dish for each of us. After about 15 mins, first 2 main dishes came first followed by 4 starters. Then it took another staggering 35mins to serve the next 2 main bowl of soondofu (after a few reminders). Then after 10mins, another one noodle soup came out. Then at last another 10mins, the last 2 bowls came out.

During all these lateness, we didn't receive a single apology!! The worst thing was, we were the first diners there (at the back dining section), but all the other diners that came after us were served before us and even finished before we were served our last dish!

We were very disappointed and were not happy at all. When they gave us the bill, we demanded them to take out the 10% service charge. The lady said the boss wasn't in!!! We said to them it's regardless the boss in or not. The service was very appalling. It took them in total 1 hr 15mins to serve 4 starters, 7 bowls of dishes/rice/ noodles. The food was below average.

We went as a party of 11, we had to share one BBQ which was sat at the other side of the table! passing food was not and easy task for 11!

The food came out all in the wrong order, one of us ordered soup and tofu starter which came out at the end of the meal...when we'd eaten everything else.

Ordering and getting attention was impossible.. even with the bell we had on the table!

Our first set of drinks took a good 20 mins before we got them, Beers were not full pints!

Taste of food = OK

Verdict = Probably wouldn't go there again.
