I attended this Resteraunt on Saturday, and the food was really good, however we were warned that we needed to be out by 9pm.
At exactly 8:59 just as we finished our main meal and were about to relax with the rest of the wine and partake of a sweet, we were rudely interupted by the head waitress who said we must vacate our table, and quickly removed the plates, utensils and table cloth.
We had not even finished our wine, and had not had the chance to order our sweet, and were told that if we wanted to do so we would have to do so at the bar!
I was quite astounded, I imagined that any normal Resteraunt would have allowed us some leeway, especially after coughing up £212, approx £42 per head..
It would seem one is only allowed a stay of 2 hours at this place, which seemed ridiculous, I would have expected for that price a good evening out, without the need to complain about the service, at least that we be allowed to finish our wine.
It also seemed odd that a number of others who had arrived before us were still in-situ?
Perhaps discrimination?
I will never again frequent this place, and would suggest others think hard before booking here!

Authenticity at its best. The deep fried pomfret should be banned because of its addictive properties and the trotters were heavenly.

Went here a few weeks ago having read pretty good reviews in
the Ham and High and Giles Coren but we came away feeling
disappointed.
We had read the place had a makeover - all I can say is what was it like before?
A bland large too brightly lit room full of people which on entrance we took to be a good omen- however the food was just average as well .
Felt rather flat when we left a non descript meal in a non descript room in
a remaindered part of north London.
Sorry !

Brilliant! I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Everything about the place from the service to the hand wash in the bathroom was fabulous. I will be dinning there again very soon.

I went there becuase of the good ratings, however my experience was disappointing. I ordered the freshly steamed scallop (£5 per piece). The scallop was not fresh, it was over cooked, it had a yellowy gloomy look, the texture was dry and chewy. I had this dishes in a couple of chinese restaurants in london, roughly costs between £2-2.50 per piece, much fresher and better cooked. I also tried a couple of malaysian/singaporean dishes like otak otak, laksa, fried noodles. It was good, but had better in town such as nuoya and awana, or C&R in china town. Service was not too impressive, i was treated pretty much like eating in China Town. To sum it all up, for that price, I would expect the food and service to be better. Not worth it for the amount I paid.

I found the restaurant very expensive: £91 with a bottle of Chianti at £25. Sea Bass at £18 was good, I didnt like beef in black bean souce and cicken in lemon grass was not special.

Seriously impressed by the stylish new decor. It's great to see Malaysia / Singaporean cuisine honoured by top notch presentation.
So these days it's relatively straighforward to find a decent char kuay teow, a kang kong belechan, a beef rendang and a rojak in London. But somehow good Malaysian food tends to served in slightly eccentric, umimpressive, amateurish rooms. Not places you could impress anyone, unless they'd been on ipoh hor fun cold turkey and badly needed a fix.
So the fancy new Singapore Garden changes all this. All the favourites coooked well, good service and decor.
Just make sure you have a lot of spare cash that you're happy to give away.
Di I really see Roti Canai on the menu for £8?
Thumbs up from Fatty Lo's Disciple (but he hopes someone else picks up the bill next time).

Generally of a high standard. The Fried Egg Oyster (Ho Chein) is the best I have tasted in London. The Fried Sambal Kang Kong (vegetables) and Char Koay Teow (fried rice noodles) are nice but I prefer the C&R Restaurant and the Nyonya Restaurant for those dishes. The Banana Leaf Wrapped Curry Mashed Fish (Otak) is nice and is prepared in a slightly different way from Nonya's. Overall a very good Malaysian / Singapore restaurant, but I would visit different restaurants for different dishes. Service was attentive but the price a bit stiff.
